"After Jeep engineers finished making a 420 bhp SUV with a 0-60 under five seconds, we bet they let out those evil villian "muahaha" laughs. Crazy bastards."

i gotta say, as a potential 2007 buyer, i am VERY upset that Jeep decided to discontinue Inferno Red in favor of the new Red Rock Pearl


I am surprised by the number of posts I see under various threads on this board that bash the Red Rock Pearl. Maybe it's just that only the people that don't like it are the ones that post??? I don't know how many people have seen it in person, but, IMO, I think it's gorgeous.

Not that I would buy a red car (the last six cars I've owned have been black...not planning on changing any time soon), but, when I bought my '06 during EP, there were only two SRT8's availalbe in the area...one Black and one Inferno Red. The Black had everything on it (besides being the fastest color :)) , whereas the Inferno had everything BUT the DVD player, which I didn't really want anyway. But I paid more for an unnecessary DVD player...if the black were not available, I probably would have passed on EP in lieu of buying the Inferno. Too bright and just screams "Hey Officer, Look how fast I'm going!!!" to me. But if Red Rock were available at the time, I might actually be driving a red car right now just so I didn't have to pay for a DVD player that I didn't want.

Just my opinion and my reasonings...nothing against anyone who owns or likes the Inferno Red. Just wanted to give Red Rock some props, too!!!:cool:

my best friend has a previous generation JGC in Inferno Red and i love it. in the sunshine, i think the Red Rock looks really nice... but i feel like it is too "burgundy" in certain lighting (like in the shade). these next 2 pics looks like totally different colors, and yet they're both Red Rock...

number one overall was the shelby GT500 as car of the year (B.S. as far as I'm concerned, ok if you wanna pay 10-15k over list for a mustang), and they had other categories, but the Jeep was the Best Monster Truck, #1 in it's own category, with no other trucks listed, as it should be!

for some reason "retail Red" comes to mind. I ordered a silver but I came upon a black one before the it arrived......black is sharp but a pain to keep clean.

No love for the Steel Blue!? That's the color I want! Black.....been there, done that...........still doing actually. Silver is nice too, but already have a silver car. Bring on the Blue!
