Hello all,
I am new to this forum, although I have owned a Jeep SRT8 for almost two years. I have just began modding it recently, and I have a few questions that I would greatly appreciate an answer to (since I am new to all of this and I really don't understand too much).
1) What is the best tune for the jeep srt8 that is currently out (the reason that I ask is because I read a lot in some other threads about some guy coming from another country to do a tune or something like that; maybe someone can give me some more info on that)

2) What exhaust provides the best hp increase and overall performance increase with the Kooks headers and bwoody intake

and the last

3) Refering possibly to number one in a way, I was looking at the B&G stage II for the jeep, and I was wondering what all of you, especially the ones who already have it, thought about the tune.

Thanks ahead of time for all of your ideas,

Jake

p.s. how do I add at the bottom what mods I have just like everyone else?

Welcome to the forum! Here are my opinions...

1)If you can find a shop with a Dyno, go that route. (Where are you located?) You can have your Jeep custom tuned to your specs. For this, you will need the Diablo Predator. If you can't get to a Dyno, the 91 CAI tune that comes pre-installed in the Predator seems to work well. Seems like more people are going this route than the B&G, but that works as well.

2) The exhaust really comes down to what kind of sound you want. The cat-back alone will not do much at all for you in terms of HP. If you add the Kooks, just know that the Borla S is loudest, and the Corsa/Mopar is a little quieter, but still loud. The Magnaflow would be your quiestest route. Again, it all depends on how loud you want your Jeep and how much you want to be noticed.

3) See #1

I am in Detroit, Michigan area. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it. So on your signature, it says that you have the CMR tune, what does CMR mean?

1. The B&G II is old technology....you can now load it into a diablo predator or get a CMR tune to dial in your Jeeo EXACTLY as it needs for maximum power on a dyno....there only so much u can do on a flashed PCM....

2. Borla S looks the nicest and Corsa is also nice. They are both within 1-2hp of each i many would say.....the Borla T is cool too but looks plain....both exhausts are top quality and provide a few hp

3. Once again go with the Diablo Predator as you can download a B&G II into it. Times have change in 2 years buddy....gone are the times of running a flashed PCM when u can now also adjust the parameters almost on the fly...

p.s.- on the top of ur window where it says "quick links" click on that ans tghen click on "edit signature"

The best tune is a custom/dyno tune with a predator. Try the search to find answers about exhaust and other bolt-on mods. I spent weeks here and had mods done before ever posting... search is great tool.

Thank you again to everyone....I will do some searching on here and see if I can find a dyno in my area. Thanks to you Young Medic also, it was because of the pics that you posted of your car that I went with the 8000K low and fogs. I bought them from the same guy that you bought them from and even bought the relay you suggested....everything looks AWESOME and I would HIGHLY recommend going with 8000K to anyone who is looking for some HID lights.

As for the mods, I am going to buy a programmer and do start doing some modding this summer. Thanks again to all of you for your help.
