: Head room?

Im still waiting on my 07 to arrive but, is anyone here 6'3"+ and have the sunroof? how's the head room? I ask because, the other day, I sat in an 07 Laredo with a sunroof an it was a tight fit headroom wise. Anyone sat in both? Do the SRT8 seats sit lower than the regular ones?

I'm 5'6" and hit my head avery time I get in. I can't imagine being a tall cat trying to slide into this thing.... course I don't use the Easy Exit seat, and I'm inflexible as heck :)

I'm sportman with 6'5'' 229lb and don't hit the sunroof.

It's always tight, but not really a problem.

I'm 6'3" and weigh 235. I have NO problems getting in or out and my headroom is just fine, even with the sunroof.

6'8" here. close but still have probably 2 inches of head room. I originally was looking for one with out a sun roof but those are hard to find.

That's what I was thinking! I jump in and out with reckless abandon and don't have any issues. I would assume a 5'6" guy could do it with a running jump (to get both in and out) and not have any problems!!

Anyone over 5'10" claiming easy access and not a close fit on headroom is a descendant of Gumby and riding with the ganster lean...

I'm near 5'11" and headroom has never been an issue, not even close. Do some of these guys have their seat all the way up or something??

My seat isn't all the way up, but I don't have it fully reclined either. My last car was a full sized suv, so perhaps my entry habits are different than they'd be if I was used to getting into a smaller car. But honestly I scuff my head almost every time I get in-- on the doorjam, not the roof.

No gangster lean and no descendant of Gumby here. I still don't have any problems. I'm confused. Did you guys chop the top down a few inches? Are you sitting on phone books so you can see over the dash or something? Can someone take videos of the aforementioned head scrapes so that we can analyze them frame by frame and maybe figure out what's going on?

Same here. If I'm not careful I scuff my head on the doorjam. Maybe its because I'm an old man and not as flexible as some of you young guys.

I'm just used to being larger than most cars. I can't even drive a new Viper can't even get my damn legs in the thing.

6'4" 315 lbs and getting in needs planning. I had an expedition before and because I was stepping up to get in, it was easier. Now i have to learn how to slide in. Once i'm in, no head probs with the seat leaning back, down all the way and obviously back all the way.

I'm 6'3" and need to plan ahead when I get in and out, as well, the door frame/liner seems to be much lower than my old ('93) JGC, because I used to get in and out of that thing with reckless abandon... If I get my head down and slide, no worries. And, if I do not sit straight up once I'm in (my height is all in my back, I'm only a 32 inseam), I'm fine.

Unfortunately, I've forgotten about both of these rules of thumb on occasion and have bounced my head off the liner a few times, now.

Normally, once I'm in, keeping the seat way down and way back, I have plenty of room. And, I believe this is the first vehicle that I've owned with a head rest that I can actually use!

Now that I 've got all of this figured out, I've got to figure out why they gave the driver an 'oh $h*t bar'! You'd have to be in serious trouble to be grabbing at that thing while driving, no?

I'm sure it'll be an adjustment from my current vehicles( 99' & 07' Explorers) which have tons of room. but if you have to tilt too far back then, your arms may be too far from the wheel for a comfortable position.

Truth be told, my seatback is rather upright, as per my racing days/Race drive school instruction. But I stand behind the gumby thing on exit/entry.
