this is probably a very dumb question, but I STFA, couldn't find the answer, and I'm just curious.

I don't know but that would be pretty badass having the 6 speed in a Jeep. I can only imagine it would very be tricky to retain the AWD system.

I know people have put the Viper V10 in other cars like Dakotas and Wranglers, in fact Mopar sells a retrofit kit for this engine, maybe they have something for the 6speed too.

Hey I know you! You used to have an Audi S4, and posted on AudiWorld!

Dunno if you remember me, SantorinSteve. I've got my S4 all beefed up on a Piggified stage 3 kit and I'm still loving it, but at near 120k miles it's time to think about a new ride. I'm really leaning towards one of these SRT8 beasts. So how do you like yours so far? How long have you had it?

hey Steve! I guess it's a small audi-world after all. Thats great you still have your S4, that thing is a hoot to drive, I really miss those twin turbos.

Well I traded in my S4 for a more reliable WRX just before moving down here 3 years ago. The thing is though, no matter what mods you do to a 4 cylinder engine you still have to "drive it like you stole it" to scoot around. So I started craving an all wheel drive V8, and after just reading about this Jeep I fell in love! Ended up waiting nearly a year but finally got one in January, and it's just fantastic. You really have to take one for a spin. Let me put it this way... I took a plunge paying 45 grand for a car that I had never even seen or heard, let alone drove, and it's turned out to be one of the best toys I've ever played with. :D

Nice. Looks like yours is good and tricked out already :)

The one thing that concerns me is fuel economy, which is why I was wondering about the tranny switch. seems like this beast could use a higher top gear.

of course now that there's this supercharger kit out now I could just mount that, then swap out the ratio on the Dana rearend. higher top speed, lower cruising speed revs, mmm mmm good!
