Winter wheels and tires - anyone know what you can get for wheels and winter tires that would provide some lift and clear the rotors?

I had my tires Siped today for 48.00 at Discount Tires. They put small slits in the tread at 90 degrees that results in better traction. I did this as there didn't seem to be a lot of options for winter tires.

I the dry, which is all I've had to exprerience them in, feels a little different on WOT. I still got the same minimal sound out from the tires on WOT from a stop. I haven't done a full out braking yet. But being in Seattle, I'll surely have some wet roads soon to report on.
