For installing our filters at the factory..
DC must have some huge power lifter at that point on the line, because It was the tightest installed filter I have even came across..:eek:
Glad thats overwith...:)

Man, you ain't kidding. Just did mine and thought I was the only one. Oil filters should be hand tight (so I've been taught my whole life). That thing took 20 minutes and two different filter tools to get off!

I felt like a little B!tch when I change my oil for the first time. I ended up poking a little hole in the bottom of the filter to relieve some pressure so I can ease the removal of it.

I did the old school thing and stabbed a screwdriver through it .. Acts like a handle, made it easier.

+1 works like a charm every time. Have some rags handy and make sure you're not looking up when you do it ;)

I tried that at first, it simply ripped he filter apart..
I moved onto the filter pliers I have {that have never been used as most other filters have been installed with men with average strength up until the one on the jeep}

Also don't forget to keep the mouth shut!! ( Now doesn't THAT apply to way more than changing oil?? ;) )
