I am starting to play around with stereo ideas. I am currently in Iraq so this helps pass the time :) What is the measurement of the rear cargo area, specifically the distance along the back of the rear seat.

Thanks,
Derek

45 inches of usable width along the back of the seat, and fromthe back of the seat to the rear cargo door is 36 inches.

Thanks for what you're doing over there. Stay safe.

Thanks for the info. 45" is just barely too short. I think I will be needing at least 46" to work with the amps I had speced.

What is the distance from the floor to the top of the rear seats?

Thanks,
Derek

I'll get you that measurement shortly. The 45 could be fudged a bit. There is actually several more inches of space, once you get 2-3 inches off the cargo area floor.

Thanks for doing this.

I am planning on doing a motorized amp rack. The two amps are 22.5" each in length. I need at least an inch or two beyond that to allow for the thickness of the mdf. I will have to use the smallest distance along the floor since the amp rack (for now) will be moving vertically.

What amps you lookin at? also, just remember, every hundred pounds adds about a 10th a sec to 1/4 mile times. I have a monster system in my old explorer but it's a frikken tank, sub boxes alone are over 400lbs.

I have always been a big fan of Kicker. I am thinking of using the SX1250.1 to run a singe 12" L7 and a SX700.4 to run the front and rear SS component sets.

I understand that weight will slow me down. I am trying to do this a light as possible. I may use a smaller class D amp for the sub, but clean power is so important!!

Here is a link to my system in my 5.9
