Questions:
1. Do I need ANYTHING else to make this work? I keep reading horror stories about having to get wiring harness or something else to make it work.
2. Are there any matching fog light upgrades?
Street WK 10-18-2006, 10:06 AM :( I am selling HID kits. I even have the kits I sell on my truck!
SilverSRT8 10-18-2006, 10:44 AM Honestly.... WK, which kit is better? I know yours is cheaper by what $200? I keep thinking about getting a set. How hard is it to hook up?
Street WK 10-18-2006, 11:51 AM I just installed a kit on a friend's car. It took literally 2 minutes. No bull****. This is the easiest mod ever to do.
Untouchable 10-18-2006, 01:01 PM I know these 200 dollar kits are easier to install but on my last car I had issues with quality. I plan on getting the philips slim ballast 9006 6000k setup on my car. Yeah its 400 bucks but its the best kit you can get. There;s tons of crap kits on eBay that are 200 bucks and look great for the week they work. just my .02
ARH1956 10-18-2006, 04:14 PM The GC SRT8 headlight reflectors are perfectly designed for & respond well to an HID upgrade.
PS: With the GC SRT8 you can add relays during the intial install or you can add them the next day. Just know that you'll need them to isolate the headlight circuit to keep them from flickering randomly during shut down. It's no big deal to add the relays but a PLUG & PLAY kit will not cycle properly.

HID RAWK. I got 3 sets, lo, hi, and fog. 200 bux is a bargain, IF the ANSI lumens is adequate (enough output). I say GO FOR IT. My truck looks mad with HID. I will post pics this week.
The best color combo is 8000-8300 Kelvin. I've had 6000, and 10,000. A friend has 13,000. The higher you go, the lower the ANSI output. 6000 is the brightest, but also, the whitest. While 8000 is blue, 10,000 is a purple hue, and 12,000+ (13,000) is totally purple. IMHO 8000 is best.
BTW, photos don't do it justice. You need to see them live. Cameras compensate for for white balance and ISO sensitivity (especially at night, with no flash). You either need to be a pro with an SLR to take a correct colored photo or see them live.
But, by all means, at least do the lo beams.

YES YES YES, there is a matching fog kit. It's just a different bulb. Look at the manual and make sure you order the right one for the fog lights.
The ballast / starter is the same for all 3.

So the kit I linked to WILL work without any other adapters? That is what I am worried about.
