Just bought an SRT8 inferno red. Love it so far! Having a slight issue with it though i think. I dont know too too much about these yet but seems like when i let it sit for more than an hour or so and get back in and hit the gas, the first shift slips. something like when ur on ice and then hit pavement if thats makes sense..... Also when i brake theres alot of rattleing noise coming from the rear end area. Havent looked underneath yet bet im assuming there is not a tire or anything that would make excess noise? Sounds like it coming from the rear end as well. Any suggestions? Any known problems right out of factory? thanks

welcome and congrats. If you will read through the following link, you will find answers to a lot of your questions that might pop up. The clunk, or what feels like a slip/shift is normal at this point. May be a TSB at some point. (good color choice also, same as me)

Great thanks! I will check that out. Yeah i love the color. Didnt care for it too much till i pulled up to the dealer. I fell in love with it. I was thinking after i breaks in a bit it would stop but just wanted to see if anyone out there knew any different. Thanks

and yea that thread did help out a little bit. still didnt understand what the rattle was though. said its the normal operation of the transfer case?? Will that problem ever be fixed as it breaks in? And this may be another dumb question but i didnt quite understand what they meant when he said theres not TSB for it. Not up on the lingo lately. :(

Go to table of contents, scroll down til you see technical serrvice bulletins, TSB's, and you can keep up with them as they are released. Believe me, often you will know about it before the dealer. No TSB has been issued for "klunk" or noise after 20mph shift after start up, but they may be working on one. It is nothing to be concerned about.
Don't know about your rattle, but it might be bolt on tranny case hitting exhaust, or tip of resonator hanger arm hitting bottom of cross piece on frame in rear.
