I went a whole tank of gas driving on the highway as I always do, but this time I didn't floor it and kept the RPM's low. Thinking of switching back to the stock intake with a drop in K&N. The only drop in I have been able to find is made by AirRaid. El Calor 10-18-2006, 09:55 AM I think you need to give it a couple of more tanks before you change anything. There are all kinds of different factors from one day to the next that could cause a change in MPG (could have had a slight head wind?). z28plus 10-18-2006, 10:03 AM i just thought of this? I did the GSM intake and I don't think much has changed. If I baby it I can get from 15 to 17 on the highway....if!, I stay under 3 grand. Over that and the mpg drops off. And of course...off the highway Ya gotta drive it like it wants to be driven....and then forget about it (mpg) I do think the CIA gives me a little more "snap"....and the E Thottle control kicks in more....I don't like that thing....but I think it is saving the tranny and differential over time.... split2112 10-19-2006, 07:43 PM After i put in the GSM intake, my milage went down a little over 1 mpg for about 2 weeks...then it went back up and im up about .5 mpg....i know its nitpicking but hey that might be because i didnt disconnect the neg on the battery brzypoint 10-24-2006, 07:25 PM People...If you bought your SRT-8's for fuel economy you bought the wrong vehicle, sell it and go buy a 4 cylinder! :mad: | ||
