We don't get much snow in NYC, however the 3-4 times a winter that it does come down, the roads are aggressively salted down. As bad as the stuff is for rims, it still doesn't make sense to switch wheels the few times it does snow. Anyone have advice for protecting the rim finish on a need-to basis? I've heard putting a coat of wax on is a good idea, as well as washing the road salt off the wheels ASAP after exposure.
