Well Folks Here It Is; my best run in 39* out side temps, new TCM, MagnaFlow X Muffler, stock air box, Napa 381-190, 190* thermostat, 4500 miles, weighs almost 5000 lbs with me; 13.325 ET 1.893 60' 102.68 mph! Total cost so far is $270 total. I'll be looking at some other simple mods to improve these times for next year. I believe some 13.2 or faster ETs are possible and 103 mph are possible almost stock. Some additional tuning will do it and some other ideas. "NOW THAT'S COOKING WITH SKELGAS" Gene::D

It controls the tranny. LOL :)
It controls the shift points(gear changes at predeterminded RPMs) & other functions.

Whats the typical price, and is it worth it?

If you get a severe lag in the 1-2 shift, other sluggish shifts, like some LX Cars, it's covered under warranty. Mine had this problem and set trouble codes in the TCM. Advanced part that may be covered under a upcoming TSB? HTH Gene

I'm not sure this changed my drag strip performance (faster mph or lower ET) but just controls the shift points better and a noticeable torque converter lock up engagement at WOT. HTH Gene
