Any suggestions on what sort of cleaner to use to get water spots off the glass? I've got the paint handled using zaino but nothing seems to get these spots off the glass. Any ideas?

Bon Ami, its also what DCX recommends for removing the circular ring marks sometimes left behind from the suction cups that handle the glass at the factory.

Abouth 5 years ago I bought 4 small bottles of SPOT-B-GONE . I'm on my last bottle now. I bought them from a mom and pop auto store. This stuff is amazing. It will take the spots right off.
I even used some on a painted black top that had been stained by acid rain. It took the stain right off.

Try a weak solution of vinegar and water, progress up to full strength vinegar. the vinegar is slightly acidic, so it should work. I have used it with success on my cars.

Vinegar! Use it all the time and it works great mixed 50/50 with water. About 1 ounce each will take care of an entire car. Just dab a little on towel, rub, and remove with clean towel. I've also used it to get rid of water spots on boats....

Steel wool will work fine. Glass is a porous material, hence the water spots(adhesion to the roughness-as seen in a microscope).Well enough about that. I have used and still use a single edge razor blade(with caution) and windex(ammonia solution) when it becomes bad enough to bug the hell out of ya. Old show car trick.:D

An old detailers trick is to also dry your windows with newpaper after applying cleaner, not paper towel. Try it, it's streak free on the first wipe every time.

I use the 50/50 white vinegar/water mix on mine but Bon Ami works for those spots that won't come with vinegar. The only time I ever get difficult spots on mine is when a sprinkler waters it and it dries before I know that it happened. We have very hard here in Fort Worth, it was much softer when I lived in Dallas...but just water is no reason to live Dallas :)
