tigergladi8or 04-12-2008, 09:39 AM bottom half lights up when turn signal is applied
GodfatherSRT8 04-12-2008, 09:47 AM I am liking this mod. Where did you get em from and how much??
RMRSRT 04-12-2008, 09:51 AM Looks Good Man. Where did u buy them from? I'd like to see pics of how they look in the day.
tigergladi8or 04-12-2008, 10:07 AM bought them from an ebay seller cosmodynamic

Betray 04-12-2008, 12:41 PM hard to see it, maybe a shot further away in light?

PALELLA 04-12-2008, 01:38 PM I'm not a fan of the look from the side.

tigergladi8or 04-12-2008, 04:11 PM Rain let up so i was able to grab a couple outside pics... couple quick things, all of the LEDs are illuminated when the lights are on, if no lights are on and brake is applied top half is illuminated.

mrfreeze 04-12-2008, 07:14 PM i like it..wonder how these would look on the back of a steel blue jeep?
rshtouni 04-12-2008, 08:22 PM if you guys havnt noticed it kindov looks like the range rover lights :)
ProAukland 04-13-2008, 02:21 AM That would look great on the silver GC.
AirForce Hemi 04-13-2008, 02:46 AM Hmmmmm....sorry not feeling them.
robdeniro0 04-13-2008, 05:49 AM Yeh they are real nice but they are only plug n play for the 06 model. I bought those same lights for my 07 and the harness is different for my srt, my father is an electrician so he rewired the lights and he actually wired them so all of the leds top and bottom light up when the brakes are applied and when they are on the look is SICK! Thats the question most people ask me about (where'd you get those lights?) They are plenty bright in the day also probably brighter than stock.
MYSRT8EM 04-13-2008, 09:31 AM I agree with Bridam Tooooooo Much rice not badass enough for the BEAST
ram_g 04-13-2008, 09:44 AM I don't really like them, but it's not so much because they're rice but because they seem strangely half-baked with the side look left "undone".
Tex_SRT8 04-13-2008, 09:50 AM http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w199/ryantafelski/no.gif
T-Time 04-13-2008, 10:34 AM IMHO.......If they are silver when the lights aren't on, like they look in the pics.I would tint them as quickly as I could get them too a good painter, Dark!! Sorry, not my cup of Tea.

tigergladi8or 04-13-2008, 11:10 AM Whether you like them or not they are great to have because you can change them depending on what look you are going for that month, week, or day. The biggest thing I like about them is that they are so easy to change out. Two screws in each, that's it. I like to keep em guessing. It's cheaper than buying two beast and we all know what happens when you get two beast too close together!

akatheproducer 04-13-2008, 11:11 AM ill admit on the black gc it doesnt look so great but i had done this mod on my white 2004 escalade and it looked great cuz the chrome didnt look out of place but i had many problems with the cheap wirering especially during the harsh winters .
AirForce Hemi 04-13-2008, 02:25 PM Maybe if they were blacked out........ But that would cost a lot fo money to buy those then have them blacked out.
TutsSRT8 04-13-2008, 07:34 PM probably ought to take that Clemson sticker off... It's gotta be slowing you down tremendously. Lights look good though.
DABEARS1 04-13-2008, 10:25 PM I'm not digging it, maybe a North Carolina sticker will make them look better!:)
tigergladi8or 04-14-2008, 02:45 PM i've got a kansas sticker on order
HoustonSRT-8 04-14-2008, 03:21 PM I think they would look better if the black plastic inside was painted body color.
TutsSRT8 04-15-2008, 12:10 PM i've got a kansas sticker on order
That cuts deep.
jrCobra 04-15-2008, 12:35 PM i've got a kansas sticker on order
lol, awesome (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!)
I can't make up my mind whether I like them or not. I think that blank spot on the side needs something.
JJJ93z 05-23-2008, 02:10 PM Do you have any pics that are not as close up? Do they contour the body lines like the stock tails?
hunterzeus 07-17-2008, 03:25 PM I bought a set once and they fit but since i had three bulbs the lights only hooked up with two.. Those were not led lights however I emailed that very seller a few days ago and he said they wouldn't work on the SRT8 did you have to do any mods.. Or just plug and play..
hunterzeus 07-17-2008, 03:34 PM Looks like you had the three light bulb on your old too.. how were you able to plug into the lights when they just have two one for the turn and brake and one to put your old back up bulb into??? Just curious as i would like to purchase these lights as well but the same guy you bought from says they wont fit the 3 light old lenses
Bobbyn0820 09-16-2008, 06:14 PM How can you hook these up on an 08?
Mike_Levy 09-16-2008, 06:46 PM I have a set thats red like stock. They'll be installed this weekend, because as those who have been following know, they don't just plug in for the 07-08 model years. Different light pattern too because of how I wired them.
Just deciding if I wanna install them red or tint them first.
Vinnysrt8 09-16-2008, 08:00 PM looks good..........
terrymason 09-17-2008, 09:03 AM Those look fantastic!
sbkim 09-17-2008, 01:56 PM Surely someone can come up with a better design and one that plugs and play with 08+
sbkim 09-18-2008, 12:08 PM Here is something that looks less ricey

BlackJeepSRT 09-18-2008, 12:52 PM It's noticeably brighter than stock. Doesn't look too bad. Still a little too ricey for me. I'll stick with my stock tinted tails.

sbkim 09-18-2008, 04:11 PM Mike - would you mind sharing how you were able to wire to make the 2008 to work with these lights?
Mike_Levy 09-18-2008, 06:20 PM Yeah, I covered it in a different thread in the Interior/Exterior section. Its titled something about a taillight adapter harness.
JJJ93z 09-18-2008, 07:33 PM Mike can you please post some pics? I would love to seen them on a black SRT.

Did you install load resistor to slow down the blinker/avoid warning light?
Mike_Levy 09-18-2008, 09:32 PM The testing showed no need for any sort of resistor. They worked fine as is. I'll put up pics on Sunday after I do the final install.

I take it you have a 07-09?
A couple of ways to do it.
Here's how I did mine:

Harrison's install:

There are more if you run a search...
tigergladi8or 08-30-2009, 06:21 PM not sure if anyone interested but i recently sold my 06 GCSRT8 and was wondering if any one was interested in these tail lights. Figured i'd ask here before i put them up somewhere esle
tigergladi8or 09-05-2009, 06:05 PM no takers?
CMYKGUY 09-05-2009, 06:27 PM no takers?
I would start a new thread and list an asking price in the "Parts for Sale section." You should get a bite over there. If I wasn't selling mine, I'd probably take them off your hands.

DiRtYJAS86 01-26-2010, 12:47 AM how easy was the install
Taillight Solutions 01-26-2010, 08:10 AM how easy was the install
If you have an 06 they are a direct plug and play. If you have a 2007 or newer they need to be rewired. If you re-wire them for the 2007 and up (like mine) you will get both the top and bottom portions to light up with brake and turn signal.
Here is a pic of mine (excuse the dirty rig). That is with JUST the running / parking lights on in the second pic. I couldn't get a decent picture with the brake lights applied. My camera phone can't handle it :D
jessiethe3rd 02-05-2010, 10:55 PM Did you tint these?
Taillight Solutions 02-05-2010, 11:07 PM Did you tint these?
No. Not yet. I am still looking for a good painter. They are really bright though as is!!! :D
Dvsjeremiah 08-09-2010, 12:32 PM heyy i have an 07 srt8 jeep and have the same light and i am curious how your wired them. I have the exact light i bought it off ebay and checked compatibility and everything before i purchased it. I just cant figure out how to take the factor harness and wire it to the harness on the aftermarket light. should be plug and play but the plugs dont line up. do you need an adapter between the two connections?

You need a taillight adapter to allow LED taillights to work on any 2007 and up Jeep G C. Otherwise, you will need to cut and splice. My adapter kit is 100% plug and play.

I'm not a fan of the look from the side.
Yep, a black plastic side definitely kills it.
