: I have the worst freakin luck and UPS sux!!!
mabosc223 10-13-2006, 12:22 PM Well after waiting 6 months for my damn Supercharger for GS Motorsports, I was happy when I got a call last friday night from GS with a tracking number. So every day I was tracking my baby and it was supposed to arrive yesterday (10/12/2006). It said on the Tracking Page that DELIVERY DATE was 10/12/2006. So I waited all day and nothing. And now when I track it it just says In Transit. I have tried getting hold of UPS but everythings automated. So I sent them an email and no response yet. Man this Supercharger is turning into a Train Wreck. Just needed someone to Vent to before I go out killing people. (J/K)
SilverSRT8 10-13-2006, 12:35 PM Call UPS and enter in random numbers and finally you will get a agent. Or go to a ups store. I hate automated things so I just press buttons until I get somebody

The ol’ keypad mash - classic :)
omegaman 10-13-2006, 12:45 PM I just keep hitting zero. It usually works.
mabosc223 10-13-2006, 12:54 PM Ok Thanks Guys ;) I'll keep you posted.
I had a similar incident with shipping from GSM. I was waiting for my intake & exhaust. I had the tracking numbers and checked faithfully seeing where it was. Saw the projected delivery date, followed by in-transit, ultimately showing that it was an invalid tracking number. Finally getting through to GSM (after many calls), I was told that my package was still in their warehouse. Was should have taken a week, took nearly 2 months.
Not saying that this is what happened to you (I'm sure it's not), but a company doesn't actually have to send something to have a tracking number generated through UPS.

NOW I AM REALLY PISSED OFF!!! I just called UPS. And they said the package is Lost or Stolen. And that I have to contact GS Motorsports for them to get an investigation started... GOD DAMNIT!!!
MatFab 10-13-2006, 01:23 PM wow now u weren't lieing u do have bad luck...
Scoop55 10-13-2006, 01:47 PM Well I would think it would've been properly insured by GSM. Call them up and tell them to file a claim or something, and oh by the way, GET ANOTHER ONE SHIPPED PROTO.
That sux, man.
Here.... read this to see my experience: My Experience with GSM (http://www.cherokeesrt8.com/forums/showthread.php?t=639).
Sorry man. Sounds like the exact same thing that happened to me. My feeling is that they created a packing slip and gave me the tracking number, to settle me down, but realy they did it to just buy more time. Ultimately I did get my stuff, and I do like it, but this is just bad business. Be sure you go post about this on the blue site too.

They did the same thing to me on my intake...created the shipping label weeks or more from when it was actually shipped. Bunch of Bull...Then the intake came with the bracket welded in the wrong place....hit the hood. Lousy service...Never again with them.
larryc7777 10-13-2006, 04:57 PM If you were actually able to track the package through arrivals & departures at various UPS facilities, then there was an actual package. If there is no detailed progress to track, then the package likely never existed.

Larry makes it great point.

I just noticed that my intake is rubbing on the hood too. I have tried and tried to bend it. Did they replace it for you? Mine is angled up too far!! All this after I waited a few weeks for it as well as having a tracking number and no tracking info.
matts 10-13-2006, 07:29 PM sounds like a pretty ****ty place to send your money. i used to work for a guy that done the same thing. he'd promise you the world and if you were lucky you'd get a shovel of dirt. he didnt stay in business too long either

You know....the whole deal with them just pissed me off. I had to bend it and space it off the interior of box to try and get it centered. Without elongating the bolt hole, no way would it drop to a level or correct height. Prior to purchasing, when I first contacted them and exchanged emails (all within a period of a few hours late in their work day), the item was to be overnighted. Next morning I get an email..."sorry we are sold out... but it should only be a week or so" What? They made the offer and did not even have any inventory...almost cancelled then....decided to hang in...Well after more than a month and a bunch of BS about delivery time...supplier problems etc....I got the tracking BS too. Not a way to do business. I don't care if it is a $300 part or $3000....If you have nothing in the pipeline...don't try to sell it. Anyway finally arrived...Bracket welded in wrong place...Spacing it out helped center it, but height was off and rubbed hood....Didn't tell me I would need a longer replacement hose either. Ran it for 1500 miles....I know it ain't "quarter miled", or dynoed, but my butt and passport G-timer tell me it still runs 4.6 to 4.9 to sixty, and I did not feel any more throttle response or anything else different than my Mopar CAI offered me. I took it off today and its on the shelf. Nice looking logoed box cover, but the product and service did nothing for me. The excuses, generation of the shipping label well ahead of actual shipment and bracket issue just totally pissed me off.
I'm not even going to bother with comlaining or seeing what their fix is. I'll just chalk it up and sell it sometime....cheap....with full disclosure of my issues.
sorry this is so long....hope you get it handled and they have a fix for you.
SilverSRT8 10-13-2006, 08:18 PM I had the same thing...
- out of stock, should be in this week
- waiting on supplier
- now that I have it on and it rubs the hood... called and they said I don't have it fitted right and none of their's does that. i have tried everything with the holes and bends that they set me up with.
I don't have my exhaust yet so I am keeping the CAI on. I know the exhaust and CAI compliment eachother. I will see if I can notice a difference with exhaust vs CAI/Stock intake.

I'd call em again...This is not the first CAI I have installed. I say they are wrong. First you put the "box" in. Its positions is predetermined by the mounting holes. Therefore when the 90 elbow is slipped on to the throttle body, and tube inserted, the hole in the bracket should align with side hole in mounting box. A absolute minimun of adjustment should center the tube and make it level from throttle body to box. Without bending, and bracket hole realignment it does not center itself or drop low enough. If possible take a pic, or talk to Ryan, and ask him how to adjust it, and how, other than according to their instructions, which you followed, is it supposed to be fitted "right". Good luck.
SilverSRT8 10-14-2006, 11:33 AM Here are some pictures. You can see that it is angled up too much and you can see the room I have to work with below the tube. I tried moving it a bit and got it lower but it is still angled and I am sure it will bounce back into place.
SilverSRT8 10-14-2006, 11:34 AM one more..

Last pic to right...did you come up with this piece to attach to tube, or was it included with your intake?
SilverSRT8 10-14-2006, 02:58 PM That tube is attached to the stock intake. Then on the GSM CAI there is the metal tube sticking out and i just hooked the existing one into it.
one more..
I would email Ryan and ask him how you could have done anything wrong.
Without you drilling out the hole, filing it, elongating it whatever no way is the tube going to drop down to a level position and clear the hood.
Ask him to look at these pics and tell you what you supposedly did incorrectly. On my bracket I tried to bend it a bit too. Actually had to use a sleeve/spacer and move it a good half inch+ to get the tube to even close to centered. Neither you, I or any other customer should have to do this.

Yeah...my bad...memory lapse. It is the same on my stock intake. I inadvertently grabbed the one from the Mopar CAI to throw on. It is much shorter as position for hook up in tube is different....My mistake.

I am going to screw with it some more and see if I can get it a little bit lower. If not I will send him the pictures and tell him to give me a new one

That sux, man.
I appreciate everyone's support on this matter. I do hope that GS Motorsports will ship me another kit and not make me wait another month or two. And what really sucks is that I still haven't gotten the remainder of my order, the P&P Heads/Intake, Headers w/Off-Road Pipe and Cat-Simulator Mod, along with the GSM ESP Mod, Oil Cooler Mod, and to top it off I ordered two freakin Hemi Supercharged Emblems over a month ago and still have not gotten them. So I am really screwed. I hope I start seeing something soon. This depression I'm in really sucks, and it started snowing here in Cleveland also this past weekend. A word of advice, don't do business with companies on the other side of the country, try if at all possible to stay local, or deal direct with the tuner. Now I would just like to say that all my dealings with them on the phone have been great, I love chatting it up with Mike Q., however once again the Customer is being Neglected and it's just inexcusable when your playing with the money were paying for these mods. JMTC. Take it as you will.
Oh and I forgot, still no update on the status of my Supercharger, I was left hanging all weekend, and I had to call them (GSM) this morning to find out if the investigation was even started. Once again I'll keep you guys updated. And I do appreciate having a forum like this so the average ordinary person can express their thoughts and views. Imagine if I would of ordered everything and not been a part of this forum. Whew. Once again I'll say it "Buyer Beware".
