my H@@ker, I mean girlfriend hates this truck with a passion...she thinks it has too much power and especially hates when I get alittle loaded and she has to drive it home. She drives a V6 mountaineer. It rides really nice and comfortable, but compared to srt, feels like it has two horses pulling it. I love driving it, so when we leave the condo together, i refuse to drive her car, unless of course weather is crappy, then it stays in garage. She also thinks I dont know how to drive it because I am constantly slamming the gas...I told her that you have to because the hemi gets mad

Give it some time and try and get loaded a little more often. Head to the pub and straight away hit the beer or scotch a little hard, then she knows she'll be driving home. Then let her play one of her cds (stay with me), soon she'll be comfortable driving the thing and even step on it once or twice. Once she's comfortable driving yank all cd privileges and she'll be happy enough knowing she gets to drive. That- and she's getting drunk action when she gets home! Honestly worked for me.

My girl loves my GCSRT8....but hates the way I drive it....she has driven it once, and would not put it at WOT!!!!

My GF That I bought the tbss for, wants me to get the gcsrt8 so she can steal it. She drives em hard :)

My GF hates my truck as well...she thinks it "looks pretty" but its "to fasttt"...but shes comfortable enough to fall asleep while I drive, so I drive normally till she falls asleep, then I tack on those extra MPhs win win situation.

Wifey is scared of it as well. Says it has way too much power and is too loud.

Women and Hemi's (5.7 and Higher) do not mix. I let my ex drive once and she almost plowed into the back of a semi. She said she wasnt expecting the delay when you step on the gas then the all of a sudden boom. :D

Honestly I wish I had your problem...I hate sharing my srt with my wifey..always gotta preach to her pefore she takes it! you know,don't ding the door's, watch the pot hole's....etc..I swear I grow 1 white hair every time she drive's it.....dude if she put's out! than KEEP HER...she can keep her damn p.o.s. mountaineer...

My girl tries to take mine any chance she gets. I get the usual "Hey I need to get some stuff from my parents house that won't fit in my car" excuse. We have an agreement however. I'm giving her the Jeep when I get the Skyline. So she's got about a year to wait. I'm gonna wait for the 2010

My wife hates driving mine because the tint is to dark and the exhaust is to loud. Limo front and 2x Limo back. I have to admit it does suck when you cant seen the guages in the day time if you have sunglasses on unless the lights are on.

My ZJ's tranny is about to go out, it's got 160k miles. We agreed it was time to get a new car, I told her I wanted a new Grand Cherokee, showed her pics. She HATES the way it looks but said "it's your car I guess I don't care."

She is a SPEED FREAK tho, loves fast cars, I've no doubt she'll change her mind after she drives it the first time. I may never get it back :)

My wife loves our SRT. She has only driven it a few times. Refuses to drive it. She curbed the front wheel on day three. She says it feels like the wheel stick out too far and it has too much power and she can't see around the front pillar. But she LOVES to ride in it. She tells everyone how fast it is. But again, she refuses to drive it. Kind of strange. It's like some kind of carnival ride to her. She loves it at WOT!

I let my wife drive mine on the way back from buying it in Orlando. Luckily I had put about 200 miles on it before letting it her behind the wheel.

After about 20 seconds, I look over and she is doing 110. I asked how fast are you going and she replied 70. I told her to look again. She almost crapped herself. She was not used to the 180 MPH speedo nor the power of the SRT...

Let me try to simplify this topic that has been complicated by discussion... put simply..... The Beast does not care what your girlfriend thinks. Why should you?

My GF absolutley loves the SRT, we have had a load of different cars, mostly high performance and for us both this is a taste of both power and class.

So my girl about a month ago tells me she wants to buy a jeep gc... i tell her if she does she really should consider going with the SRT-8... (as im starting to salivate thinking that could she possibly fall into my trap?)... well... we are now proud owners of an 06 and she absolutely loves it... she commutes to work so the beast is in the driveway all day long..:).. and i work nights.. sweeeeet...
