: GCSRT8 question
Hello Guys I am new although I have been on other forums. I am intrested in buying GCSRT8. There are a few things that I would like to know. I own a SRT and have a few issues with it. The forums answer all my questions as I know you will as well. The 2006 Charger SRT had a TSB for the brakes does the Jeep have the same TSB? Also what should I expect from a lightly modded GCSRT? I have seen one on the road in my area and that is it, so I am looking forward to getting one!! Thank you guys and I look forward to talking and meeting you on the road!!
Black_SRT8 10-09-2006, 07:48 PM There is a brake "scoring" issue, but there is currently not a TSB. Supposedly, a TSB for this issue will be released in the near future. Cosmetically, the scoring is annoying, but performance-wise, there really are no major issues (IMO).
What can you expect from a lightly modded SRT8 GC? The ride of your life! (and 1/4 times of 12.9 - 13.7)

No, that is not worth the money. Today, Boomer, a member of this forum, procured a new '07 SRT8 GC with option group 1 for $41,xxx ($500 under invoice).
If you are interested in market value, analyze the SRT8 GC's that are available on eBay... http://motors.search.ebay.com/jeep-srt_W0QQfromZR8QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ3QQsamcmZ6000QQsaspi Z2QQsbrsrtZd

I have never heard of any rotor scoring or related issues on the Grand Cherokee SRT8, only on the LX models which originally came with different rotors. No brake related TSB's for the Grand Cherokee are in the works.

And I thought I'm the only one to get away with under invoice! I got $700 back of invoice.

bad deal as was pointed out
just wanted to add that aftermarket parts DO NOT add to the value of the vehicle. not until you're doing forced induction anyways and that's debatable too. don't get suckered into paying more for something that's modded.
