So my wife was driving home from work today and a State Trooper pulls her over and tells her he thinks she was following to close while passing another car behind while following another person. Which was BS the car in front of her saw the Smokie before her and slowed down which made it look like she was to close but he didnt site her for that instead he grabs his tint meter and bags hewr for too dark of tint. WTF do these guys have nothing better to do?? I had those windows tinted because she drives alone and once she was followed and some sicko MOFO tried to get in her dressing room while she was trying some clothes on and was not caught by our wonderful law enforcement . My fear was the sicko could have folowed her home aswell so I tiinted her windows so sicko MOFOs cannot see her in the vehicle which means less chance of her being raped or killed . Where the F&^% are our rights?? Law enforcement has the right to prevent us from our safety to preserve theres?? The patrolman was driving a Charger Interceptor. have several here in Idaho so I think he just pulled her over to F*&^ with someone in GCSRT8 and to meet his monthly quota :( I think there should ba a law against laws that violate our right to feel safe while in our own vehicles:armed:

Getting pulled over for "following too close" is a bull$hit excuse. He wanted to phock with someone & that's it. Sorry to hear about it man!

Good luck contesting the ticket on too much tint tho . . . 'round here it's nearly impossible to dodge those

hey I have read here that if you have a doctors note for eye sensitivity or some other bs you can get passed the popo with front tints. my ? is does anyone really know this to be true, for sure?

Pay the ticket, have tint removed. Wait a week, tint windows again. Problem solved.

Fact is, it IS a law so unless you have a doctors "prescription" for tint, there isen't much you can do.

Truth is cops are cops. Some are cool most got out of high school and wanted to break peoples balls. I got pulled over a few months ago and given an 100 in a 60 zone ticket, from an officer who estimated my speed based on acceleration from a red light between my lone occupant SRT8 compared with a buick sedan with 3 seniors in the other lane. I laughed at the huge ticket, damn near went to jail and have since retained counsil. My lawyer is now not only fighting this ticket, but is on retainer for the next bull**** incident. After my lawyer asked for disclosure from the crown I began to be followed by police on a daily basis. I continute to be followed 4-5 days a week. Ive met cool cops over the years (not just the ones that let you go), but most wish they made it to SWAT cause it looked cool on TV, but are tubs of ****, or completely retarded and cant make it in.

As far as Feelin ya in the title goes, I had 3 natives attack my 105lb wife 4 years ago. They tried to rip her shirt off and apparently one kept yelling he wanted her beautiful eyes. Luckily for her (and me!) 2 business men came on the situation and the ****s ran off. I thought of a Tazer, grabbing a small .22 auto- but it is more than likely a person with one of these weapons will have it turned on them in a violent attack. I then invested huge money in the ultimate protection tool and now if she is walking by herself, everybody goes to the other side of the street. If she is in the vehicle and someone starts to hit on her, the clam up the second they see this:-

guys, let me apologize for some of the jerkoffs who wear badges......not all of us are bad guys. I cant explain why some are the way they are but we all are human and we all have bad days....some more than others! Believe when I say that I have met a lot of fellow officers who take things WAY too seriously, but the thing to remember is that we are only doing a job.

I know a lot of people hate the police but I always say....HATE US UNTIL YOU NEED US......

I don't know why you're getting mad at someone just doing their job. You never had the right to have blacked out front windows.

Yeah, I have to agree with Bridam on the tint issue. I have always had tinted windows on all my cars, but I know and accept that it is illegal. A cops job is to enforce the laws, not write them. You should also understand that tinted windows is an issue of officers safety while they are conducting a traffic stop. I always roll down my windows when pulled over to put the LEO at ease.

I think that 80% of cops come tight out of H.S. and got something to prove. I also think that a person who becomes a cop after some life experiences has a better understanding of other people and can see through the bull**** and can make better decisions.

If you really want to know i think a person who themselves has had problems with the law can be almost a better cop on top of that because they think like a really person not just some kid with a shinny badge.

Just my 2cents.

Ive met some pretty cool cops over the years, even the ones handing me the ticket. The ones who are just doing their jobs, the ones who treat it like a paycheck to make a home life and do the $hit they wanna do. Then there are the ones that make it a lifestyle, which in the last 3-5 years seems to be the majority now. These are the ones that can only hang out with other cops on days off (not just cause of shift work) and talk shop all day. Then they go back in for their next 12 hr shift, and suddenly they're supercop all day so that the next 12 hr chat session will sound extra cool with like minded individuals.

Bottom line is something like 75% of the time the lights are in behind me for a reason and I know it. It the ones who come up and say "boy I caught you with your pants down", or " I've waited all day for you" and laugh their ass of when I reply "got here as fast as I could", that lighten the situation and make it nothing more than a light ticket session from 2 guys with a sense of humour, with one having ***ed up (and knows it). Why this thread started is that there is an influx of handle bar mustache, pants tucked into boots type cops that smirk and go so far as lie to break balls. I have police in the family, I know exactly when someone is doing their job (10min warrant, reg, ins, tag check), or when someone simply wants you to know their job puts them in a position of power and will hover that above you til you say "sir", enough.

To the people who think that a misd. traffic offence such as slight speeding, or tint warrents 30 mins in harrasement, blow me. Seriously- dump your cool ride go join the force and act as high and mighty as you have just done. God knows we could you another one of you miserable stunned pricks servicing the community. To the officers who act like normal people, even when I ***ed up- to the ones who took the report on the attack on my wife with compassion, and to the ones who go out there for a paycheck and want nothing more than to get back to your families, my sincerest thanks. We need more of you and please understand you are a dying breed. I am sure you know this yourselves from your own detachments.

And, I've had the dark tints in the front and I've had my windshield tinted in the past. Truth is that it makes it harder to see on poorly lit streets at night. There is definitely a valid safety issue there. Moreover, if you get in a wreck at night, the plaintiff's lawyer will be all over you--called negligence per se (negligence as a matter of law for failing to comply with safety statutes).

Stop being petty. And, once again, you are inserting yourself with an apparent lack of knowledge. There was no need for you to help out Matt in dealing with me as we are boys and have been for some time. If you looked before you said anything, you would know that we are a team. Second, I had a valid point. SHAKE...

I Never said I had the right to tint my windows if you read my thread it says I feel my wife has the right to drive alone without fear of some sicko following her home or where ever she may be going and rape or murder her in my opinion the tint is for her safety not the purpose of putting fear in the patrolmans heart. My wife was followed in a mall buy a man who attempted to get to her while she was trying on clothes in a dressing room this individual was never caught my point is she is not a violent person so a gun is not an option tinted windows allows her some piece of mind to the possibillity that another or the same perp doesnt know if someone else is in there with her. Simple thing for her piece of mind dont you agree? I do have a CWP and I do pack so it wouldnt be an issue for me to defend her but im not always with her and she has drive alone and it isnt always daytime. That was all my whole issue was about he didnt have anything else to but worry about her tinted windows and I drove two blocks and counted 6 cars with not only tint but reflective tint so give me a break !!!! she was singled out because she was driving a black GCSRT8 and he wanted to see who was driving it and then he felt he had to cite her for something I think theres an abundance of real crime out there enough to keep a focused law enforcement officer busy for a whole shift read a newspaper if you dont agree.

.Thanks, but no apology needed. I and I am sure others completely understand. Thanks for chiming in and for your service. It's a tough job when you are hated until you are needed. Since you are an officer, I would like to ask you and other officers on this board, how you would feel if you were pulling someone over on a deserted highway and they drove to the next exit before stopping?

I have a lot of questions before I can answer this honestly.....What time of day is it? Is there any type of lighting on the roadway? How far was the next exit? Was the officer driving fully marked squad car? What was the reason for the stop?
