: Ordered fog light bulbs today
DevssrT 03-26-2008, 06:47 PM Well, after about a month or so having my Lo/Hi HIDs in, I decided to upgrade the fogs since the stock halogens bulbs just didnt look right- too cheap/unmodded haha....
Well, I looked on Ebay and ended up purchasing a pair of 3000K Crystal yellow Xenon bulbs to go in my fog lights....
I know, I know all your opinions on this and how many people dont like the idea of it not matching, but from a functional standpoint, white Hid light does you no good with bad weather...and I dont see anyone else trying this..maybe ill start a movement or somehting hah.
Also, I paid only 17 bucks with shipping for the bulbs...so it seems like a good deal to me. Ill let you guys know how it looks and post up pictures once there installed.

theoneyoucantreplace 03-26-2008, 08:18 PM This thread is worthless without pics. :(
RMRSRT 03-27-2008, 07:01 AM I started a simlar thread a couple of weeks ago. Only I was trying to get feedback on whether or not I should go with the yellow HIDS for the fogs. The consensus on hear was that matching colors was the best way to go. I know a few members on hear have gone your route and they looks pretty damn good to me. I guess it comes down to personal taste and funcionality. By the way did you already have the HID set up on the fogs and simply replaced the bulbs?
XenonDepot 03-27-2008, 07:29 AM 3000k will definitely perform the best in Foggy weather. I personally like the look of yellow HID in the fog. To each their own though =)

CentralTexHemi 03-27-2008, 07:31 AM I totally understand your choice it rarely gets foggy here in central Texas but of course a week after installing my 6500k low and fogs we had a week of foggy weather, the front of the Jeep looked like I had 4 light sabers out in front of me and it was horrible, so IMO good choice

Yes I read your thread....I think its a great idea..the truck looks so damn good already, why not throw some function in....what members on hear you know of going that route? Id love to see some pictures since I cant seem to find any...and as for the HID set up, I only have the HID's set up in my His and Los...fogs are stock bulbs/connections...but I purchased from this ebay seller a set of Xenon Crystal Yellow bulbs who I have purchased from before for my parents mountaineer and they look identical to HID bulbs...but not yellow ones...

Exactly....I read a bunch of articles on Google and saw it...latley the weather in NY has been nasty and sporadic (spelling)...so Im glad im going this route...

Haha "May the force be with you"...ya my Dad lived in Texas when he was younger and a contractor down there, and he told me stories of the roads you have with the Armadillos that pop out of nowhere, as well as some other wild experiences....and thanks again for selling me the Excort Passport....has paid for itself numerous times already...

DevssrT 03-27-2008, 07:33 PM Steve,
What exactly is a good price?
RMRSRT 03-27-2008, 09:22 PM I believe VEYRONSRT8 has the yellow HID fogs and I believe Mango has them as well. I know VEYRONSRT8 had posted pics but I can't find them anymore.
Try reaching out to him or if he is reading this maybe he can re-post. I know they looked really good.
XenonDepot 03-28-2008, 06:48 AM It really depends.
What we would be looking for would be something similar to this write up:

Would love to see some in an SRT8 =)
DevssrT 04-05-2008, 10:23 AM Well, I installed the fogs and took pics during the install for a direct comparison, but I took them on too high a resolution so I only have pics of the final product. Hope you guys like...You really have to see them in person IMO

RMRSRT 04-05-2008, 08:55 PM It's hard to tell from your pics how yellow your fogs are but they look good to me. I got 2800K bulbs not HID's just yellow bulbs. I happen to really like how the fogs look when they are on by themselves. I'll try to take pics and post. Looks like you and I are the few who went with the yellow fogs. I was going to do 3000K HID's on the fogs but I think these are bright enough.
It really depends.

Ya exactly, but the I couldnt post hi res pictues...so I had to size them down..they are 3000k bulbs non HID..they are awesome and I adjusted the his and lows so that they blend in perfectly together, and work perfectly in the rain...you really have to see them in person to see the yellowness..great functional mod.
