I'm about 97% sure I'm pulling the trigger on a new 2008 SRT8 in about 2-3 weeks. I'm self-employed and could swing it now, but due to my somewhat erratic income need to make sure my clients pay me on time this month so I'm not strapped for cash next month. Been there and it sucks. It sucks sometimes but I'm a grownup now and have to be responsible ;)
A local dealer has an '08 in Modern Blue coming in around first week of April. I'm really torn between this one or finding a Steel Blue on someone's lot someplace (probably from Don -- he has one right now actually). I've seen pics of the new Modern Blue but not sure if I like it better than the steel blue.
Right now I'm leaning toward the Modern Blue. It'll be brandy spankin new, hasn't been sitting on a lot for months and months, never driven except by me, plus it's from a local dealer whom I know & trust, and they give me free loaners when it's in for repair work. I say "local" but it's actually about 25 miles away . . . I live in the country tho, so everything is 20 miles away :)
The price is right I think -- $44,500 fully loaded, Groups I & II, nav, backup, MyGiG, and Backseat TV. The dealer is pretty cool, called them last week they said they had a black on order with everything except backseat TV, called me today & said they changed the order to Mod Blue & added backseat TV. I hadn't even committed to buy yet, said it would be there if I wanted it or not, in 1-2 weeks.
Anyway thought I would share the news!
