At the SRT Track Experience in Portland I thought I had some pretty good launches on the tree at the mini drag races (1/16 mile strip). When I drove back around on one pass, the guy with my timeslip walked up and handed it to me with a huge grin on his face. I knew I had won but my reaction time on the slip was an unbelieveable 0.001 (see attached). Oh, and the best part....I was driving a GC at the time.

OK, I know, lucky as all get out but I was trying to run as thin as I could get it. I had two other passes where I timed out by -0.029, once in each lane. So I was feeling that I was being fairly consistent anyway.

If you have some good reaction times, post 'em up!

I guess I am too old to have super fast reflexs like that!:(

Very nice times!

Way to go on the .001 lite. If i had a scanner i would post my perfact lite of .500 on a sportsman tree i got at Irwindale. The best i ever did on a pro tree was .008.

I can't beat it, but my best run at the Portland SRT Track Experience was a 0.055 reaction time with an elapsed time of 5.071.....in a Jeep. This was the first time I have ever raced in an event, but it was my 5th run of the day. My only other practice is street lights.

Wow! Congrats...!
My best have been .003 and my best worst have been -.001, that -.001 happened on a semifinal round and still hurts.
I've been dancing a few times around a perfect reaction time but nothing yet.

To all you guys that have these great reaction times, what is your advice....stomp on the last yellow???? I have a heard a few different theories...TIA for the input!

This is what works for me...
After the 1st staging light goes on roll into the 2nd one very very very slowly... and as soon as that 2nd staging yellow blinks and turns completely on STOP. And as soon as you see the first of 3 yellows to come down, count them out loud as they are coming down, and as soon as you are saying 3 let go of the beast.

That's with foot on brake and the other in the go pedal and not break torquing it.

Do lots of exercise on you right ankle for the tendons to stretch and have a greater spring action... (LOL Hahaha... I'm kidding about this one Matt.)

do you guys see better #'s by power braking or just hitting the gas?.....my stock (no tune yet) seems to be better when I power brake (of couse pink fuse pulled)

At the track experience I was told to hold the GC at 2000....then let go. The 300 and crossfire with no torque brake and the magnum and charger at 1100. That is what MR. SHAKE AND BAKE said to do. Seemed to work. The only trouble I had was with timing the tree just right. Do what QBNKID said to do and that will do the trick for all vehicles.:D

I better ask Jtrain.... I heard he cuts .001 every time!
