If I go underneath my car with a voltmeter and test the 4 plug factory harness in back, the only wire that gets power is the PARK wire. LEFT and RIGHT do not register any voltage. I saw under the hood that my Rear Fog, Left-T, and Right-T were missing relays. I swapped some relays into all 3 and it still will not register any voltage out of the harness, EXCEPT for the Park wire like it was before. Any ideas as to why I am not getting power for R and L ?
P.S. My vehicle is a 2007 and it was missing 3 relays, Rear Fog, LEFT-T, and RIGHT-T. Even after I filled these 3 with relays, it would still not register any voltage for R and L out of harness.
-Thanks

Ya I saw that. I was told that Starscan wasnt necessary on a 07. I also am getting power to the PARK wire back there too, just not the L or R...hmmmmm

I didn't read the thread that Teda gave you but its likely the fuses missing under the hood. many had this issue. I was lucky enough that all mine worked right away.

Starscan is needed for 07's. I had same situation with couple of dead terminals. Went to dealer, activated rear trailer harness, worked right there in the parking lot.

I just pmed you also check that the trailer harness fuse has been installed, if they left the relay out chances are the fuse is not there either.

Where specifically is this fuse located? I saw an open space for T-Tow/ Export fuse and a 20 fuse should go in there but there are no metal contacts in the posts???

Nothing on the interior fuse panel for the Trailer or tow. Looks like maybe it does need to be enabled with starscan, but why would the PARK wire be "enabled" and hot out of the trailer wiring if it was disabled in the starscan? If its disabled than shouldnt NO power be coming out of the wires???

you do not have to do anything with fuses, just the relays.
i had the same situation, 2 wires had power, 2 did not.
just do the starscan. you will be fine

Currently, only the park wire is active. The L and R wires are dead, even with the relays popped in. Have a apt at the dealer this week. Nice to know that you were getting power in a few wires and still needed the starscan. The lady at the stealership claimed it could take up to an hour for this ??:confused:
