I went by one of the local hot rod/fabrication shops to see about having a custom hitch made for my GC SRT. The shop owner estimated around 10 hours of labor at $50.00 per, and around $100.00 of materials. He figured the materials estimate would probably not change, but the labor could go a good bit higher. Ouch!
At any rate, it will be a cool install with the reciever being behind the bumper cover, well above the exhaust. I will have to cut a hole in the cover, but that can be covered by a nice plug/cover. It should look really trick when it's done. The only problem is, one of the local car dealers has a custom '56 Pontiac Safari wagon in there getting a suspension and brakes (all-wheel discs) upgrade done. Since this dealer has over 100 cars in his collection, the fab shop needs to finish his Pontiac before he can start mine. On the plus side, they have another customer with a GC SRT that wants a custom hitch, and he likes my idea, so maybe the price will come down a bit.
As soon as mine is done, I'll try to get some pics posted.
