I'm doing a 2008 HID factory conversion on my 07. already have the 08 front bumper cover and 08 oem HID headlights. I don't care about the autolevel feature My question is, does anyone know if there is a harness to go from the 08 lights connector to the factory connector for the 07 Jeep so it's plug and play? Will the xenondepot harness get it done? Thanks

Could you please provide some detailed pictures of the 08 plug on the headlight housings?

EDIT: Also, I just thought of something. You said you don't care about the auto-level feature but at start up, do the 2008's do a pre-programmed leveling sequence? I know on my GTi the lights index down, then up to level. I'm not sure if this is some kind of embedded sequence in the lights themselves, or if the cars computer tells them to do this. If this is the case, then the 2008's lights will always be facing directly into the ground.....

I believe a 9006 harness should be fine. That will plug into the ballast which takes the 9006 plug and the ballast has the p32 plug that mates with the d2s hid bulb. This may or may not be the case if jeep uses a different ballast. Pics would help.

I haven't seen this up close and personal only in pictures, how different is the 06-07 headlamp compared to the 08? I see how the bumper and grill is slightly different.

They do go through a sequence just like that.

I thought so Drew, I would bet that sequence is controlled by the PCM, so retrofitting lights into an 07 or 06 would negate this process and the lights would probably face in wacky directions.

After poking about my GTi with my laptop and Vag-com, I can change the headlights and run them through any sequence I want. I can sit there and tell them to point up, down, and control the flapper that is used for "high beams".
