My wife has an 08 CTS and the interior is great. The did a good job designing the outside of it as well. The only way they could make it better it to give it a beast of an engine. Well I guess that is what they are doing for the 09's. I imagine with a little bit of tuning and minor mods you could have that 09 CTS-V up to 600HP.

Amazing car!!! I would love to own one some day, I can't imagine all that power in a 4 door.

I think they're hideous. Not my favorite in the looks department on the outside, the headlights especially. I dunno, I guess I'm more into the "sleeper" look. Interior is pretty nice but I'm not too crazy about that pop-up nav display

I have to agree. No doubt impressive as hell but just not for me. I would rather have an E63 or M5..

I like the pop-up nav screen. You can put it down and still use the radio. I guess different strokes for different folks. The price is supposed to be around $65,000 to $70,000 for the 09 CTS-V. Pretty pricey but a nice car. I am just glad that an American 4-door car (besides the JGC SRT8) is going to be able to hang with the german cars and for less money.

the outside is Eh but I've seen photos of the new interior (not sure if it's '08 or '09) and OMG it's awesome! My only concern is that I've read a lot of people's complaints that their CTS interior is made with crappy parts. Paint coming off and that sort of thing.

i think the body styling is alright and the power its getting with that vette engine is nice and all, but it JEEP for me all the way. ;) besides, in lil time i will have a jeep that can handle one of those (stock) 09' CTS-V's. ;) cant wait to see the look on my first few victims faces when a jeep's gettin them.

The interior for the 08's are no longer made with the crappy parts and paint. My wifes 08 interior is made very well and looks expensive. The leather is very plush and comfortable. I would recommend going and looking at the 08's interior in person. I was impressed after seeing it in person which is why I bought one for my wife.

Why would you rather have a car that costs more and performs worse than the Caddy. And IMO, the new V is going to look much better than those cars as well. Believe me, you are going to have to see the 2009 V in person before passing judgement on its looks. The same goes for my 2004 V. Doesn't look that great in pictures, but in person it looks HOT.

Not true....I have an 08 CTS and the quality is excellent not to mention the dealer that I bought it from in Tampa was great. I would go back there to buy again if I bought the CTS-V. I have the JGC SRT8 and the 08 CTS and they are both great in their own right. You would have to look at the new interior in person to believe me. I obviously like the exterior look of the new CTS or I would not have bought one for my wife and the interior is even better. The interior is what sold me on it.

I'm going off my 05 V experience...really a bad GM POS. I do like the new CTS look but the new V, to me, is ugly....too ricerish.

Oh god I hope not! My V has had serious issues the entire time I've owned it. If Cadillac hasn't addressed these for the 2nd generation V (which, by the way, I have faith that they have) then they are in for some trouble this time around.

*fingers crossed*

You must have never taken your jeep in for service then.....Then you will know what "SUCK" is.....

Well at least that was the case for the dealers around here....

I got better service when I had my Chevy Blazer...

The CTS-V definitely looks impressive. What's Mopar up to though?

I've always wondered why Mopar wouldn't put a detuned Viper V-10 into the Chrysler 300 as a 300SRT10 to compete with the M5 and now the CTS-V...who knows maybe they will in the next gen? Seems like Chrysler needs to create efficiencies across the board and putting the V-10 into the next gen 300 as an SRT10 they would likely decrease the cost of production of a pretty expensive engine with a currently pretty limited run. Just a thought...

my 05 V in 10 months time:

bad clutch (nothing to do with my driving btw, I generally get 100-150K)
headlight washers dead
seat lumbar leak
bad NAV
chipping interior paint on knobs
new radio
center arm rest broke
bad front suspension components
slop in drivetrain
wheel paint peeling (never used wheel cleaner) at 15K miles
warped rotors
bad ecm
warping plastic on front, under headlights
exhaust rattle
and on and on

Haha, nope, my Jeep dealer is perfect...couldn't be happier and they know the srt8 line up (also a Chrysler dealer).

Hey!!!

Yea, they certainly didn't talk much about the rear diff in any ad which was a major problem for the V's. I never had a problem with my '04 but I know plenty who were on there 3rd diff's. Why build a car like that with inferior $hit??!!!! This is what always pisses me off!!! Though the car was awesome with some minor mods done to it. I was running 500hp in my V and will definitely be looking at the '09 for overall comparison for a daily driver but it'll still suck in the rain or snow. Thats where our GC's come into play........here are a few shots of my V.
