I would love to hear your feedback about painting the SRT Racing Stripe on my black truck. Anyone here good at photoshop to see how that would look before I go and do something stupid that I will regret later.

Heres another view: If you dont want to be "over" noticed mods like stripes/flames etc. are a hinderence. I striped a beater & it was one of a kind, leaving it easy to be spotted by police or anyone you just dont want to be bothered by.

What about something really mild...like dual 8" gun metal racing stripes or even a flat black. Just something to set it off without standing out completely. Get some pics of your Jeep up like a front shot and go to the srtforums. They will do it for you really fast.

Try showing silver or gunmetal 8" wide stripes spaced out from that center lowered section on the hood. Then maybe a flat black if you could do it... This is the only pic I could find that may work.

I thought about something similar. I thought flat black could be cool. It really wouldn't even be noticeable without looking for it. I think I'd wait to see someone else do it first though.

Yeah, I have seen an SRT10 Ram (silver) with lighter silver stripes and it looked very classy. Some of the nicest stripes I have seen actually. I would think that the same concept would work with black.

The charcoal and flat black look different on here than when they were in photoshop  I have no clue how big 8" is on the SRT-8, so I guessed.

I think people will be suprised... Those actually look like about 10" or so..but you could always measure them off. What you may do is have someone do some vinyl stripes to see if you really like them. That way you are only out a few hundred bucks. They will last for quite a while. I have silver stripes on my blue SRT4 that way. I get compliments every where I go. Try going through www.revolution-motorsports.com They will give you good 7-10 year vinyl and if you really like them then you could have them painted.

Here is a couple of examples of what I was thinking anyway... These are not too much contrast to the vehicle but the end result looks nice.

Agreed. Do vinyl first. If you really want an accurate representation, go measure from that line in the hood out 8", come back and tell me where that is, and I'll photoshop it better. I've seen one SRT-8 in person... I have no clue how big 8" is on it haha :D

btw, jerod, nice photoshops... I always have problems 'envisioning' how the stripe would wrap around the curves of the bumper but yours are DEAD ON! I like the lighter stripes better, also. :)

I wish I could take credit...but they are real pics :) Oh, and here is my SRT-4 a while back w/stripes. Now I got nice wheels, Mopar coilover suspension, exhaust, ect.... but the stripes were a huge visual change and I was really suprised so many people liked them.

Hm.. I stand corrected!
Did you go with S2 or S3 CO's? I had the S2's but blew the rears out and am now 4x4ing it on stock susp.

I thought about it as well. The guy that put on my clear bra can do any design I want. I am looking to do three stripes along the left center of the hood/roof line. I want a 1" stripe, a 1" gap, 10" stripe, a 1" gap, and a 1" stripe in smoke grey or dark pearl metalic grey. I think this would look good on the redfire paint. Since I am a huge Buckey fan, I thought of having the OSU block O cut out of the large grey stripe on the middle of the hood. This would make it a "one of a kind".

Is Redfire the actual name of the color?! That's one of the colors 05-07 Stangs come in... interesting.

I like the stripe look

The flat black looks good...I would make them thinner though. Stopping at the second slot in the grill instead of going half way into the next one.
