Knowing now that I will have a pretty heavy foot when my 2007 ever comes in. I decided to look in to some solutions that will block all police guns. Whould you recommend? I see K40's stuff all the time but it doen't have radar protection like is Laser. I want both. Let me know

I want one that will jam both x, k, ka, laser, etc. Which one does it? I thought K40 only did laser. Who makes a good one that does all police radar?

It's illegal to jam radar,The only reason they can do it to laser is because it's a beam of light and not a radio wave. There is nothing you can buy to jam radar. There are a couple company's that say there product can jam radar but is doesn't work.I think one of them is called phantom.do a yahoo search on radar jammers and you will get lots of info, just don't waste your $ because they don't work.there are kits you can build to do it,but if you get caught with it your going to Jail.Personaly I rather pay the ticket

There are plenty of radar jammers that work that are not passive like the phantom. The problem is you need one for each band you wish to jam since the ones that work never seem to do more then one band, they tend to be large in size and difficult to conceal. Another problem is they are hard to find/buy since possession is illegal even if you are not using it. I don't remember any of the brands of said jammers but the owner of the shop I used to work for had a K band and Ka band in his Excursion and we tested with real police radar (a police officer friend helped). It's not worth commiting a felony to jam police radar and I beleive the minimum fine is $11K.

Let me repeat, possession of a radar jammer is illegal in all 50 states (FCC regs). Most cops don't care but all it takes is one that does. You probably won't do time if it's a first offense but after fines and legal fees it will cost you more then you paid for the Jeep. Food for thought.

Jamming LIDAR is legal in most states. So it's up to each individual state to make a law against it. Have you ever noticed the you just don't see that many LIDAR traps even in cities that own the equipment??? The reason is LIDAR is difficult to use, must be aimed accurately, can't be used in a moving police car, can't be used thru glass, etc. I've had a Lidar jammer for years and I drive thru 4 cities that use Lidar everyday and it's usually many months between occurances of being hit with Lidar. My jammer has worked everytime, as I am a chronic speeder :)

this site sells laser jammers and shows how all passive radar jammers are useless and shows results of one actual active jammer that jammed all guns but costs $1500 (Scorpion Ultimate jammer)

http://matt.simerson.net/reference/radar-scam.shtml
this site has some info on why you might not want an active jammer:

Jamming or attempting to jam a police radar gun is a federal felony punishable by fines up to $75,000 and one year in jail; certain states (including California, Utah, Minnesota, Ohio, Indiana and Oklahoma) have laws prohibiting any jamming device.

edit: I am curious as to what the german laws are though: I found the real deal jammers site: http://www.scorpionjammers.com/main.htm

The site that "warns" about jammers, states that if caught, up to 1 year in prison and 75K fine. The one that sells laser jammers says:

"There are no federal prohibitions of laser jammers, because laser is controlled by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration under CFR 21, subpart 1040, 1041 for eye safety.

These states ban the ownership, sale and use of laser jammers: Minnesota, California, Utah, Virginia, Illinois and Colorado."

If anyone has the time on their hands and wants to Google this story, it might be worth investigating.

The eye safety quote makes sense, even if it's made up. Lasers can destroy your vision. I should know - a friend of mine has a Ph.D in lasers from Cal Tech and he (stupidly) looked directly at one (he thought the power was off, and it was not a visible-spectrum laser), practically blinding his left eye forever. If each time you pass a cop shooting lasers at your car (and eyes), does that not affect your vision? Even if the laser is low-powered? Why do hand-held laser products have a HUGE warning on them NOT to look directly into the laser? And - they're the lowest power you can buy. Even laptops have laser warnings printed on them, not to look at the laser lens..

It would make sense to find out which is the reality.. Legal (barring those few states) or illegal in all 50?!?

1 year and 75K of moolah sounds way too high for having a laser jammer. There are people getting away with so many crimes, double murders (*cough* OJ *cough), that laser jamming seems trivial to me.

I'm getting very repetitive here: Radar and Laser (Lidar) are two different things. Jamming is Radar is illegal in all states and that's the info you found about the 75K fine. Jamming Laser is legal at the federal and only illegal in few states. Laser is NOT laser light like the kind that blind you (like light shows, pointers) it's really not laser in normal sense at all, it's a wavelength that is not visible to the eye or dangerous. One of the reasons it's fairly difficult for police to use is that they can't see it and must use a scope to aim.

Personally I use the Escort's ZR3 Laser "shifter" along with the Escort solo 8500 (blue one, I can't recall the model#) I love this set up as I have been running it for a few years. Paid for it self over and over, even the 1st day I had it in the SRT and I was going 40 over......I hear the Blinder is the best but I like to use what I know works. Good Luck guys and stay out of Jail......or take a risk!:D
