Huh, what do you know. I checked a silver )& on Ebay and it has painted bumper inserts as well. Looks like that is a change, and it wasn't even noted on wk jeeps.

Maybe some cool aftermarket company or painter will release OEM matching colored painted bumpers.

For sure I will have to paint the bumpers now.

I'll tell you what too, I really don't like the new Red Rock color. They should have stuck with Inferno Red. But then again, I really didn't like that color too much either.

The painted black looks better than the rough, dull plastic look plus I am going to paint the whole thing in Hemi Orange any ways.

radduc - look at the silver and red rock models in the ebay links provided above. The bumpers (both front and rear) now have been painted the color of the vehicle whereas on the 06's they were a dull black plastic. This is most noticable on the rear bumper to directly to either side of the exhaust.

That's what I was saying. It does LOOK the same, but the 07's are painted black whereas ours are not. I have the black as well and the fact it is not painted doesn't bother me, but I may have been a bit bothered had I purchased silver or red ;)

Chrysler always pulls this kinda ****. I would like to find a reputable dealer that would re-do my front and back to keep it current looking like the 07'. But it is not gonna happen. Hmmm maybe we can find some spare fronts and backs out there somewhere. Or someone that works in the factory yank em for us... By no means am I telling anyone to do a crime. I abide by the law :D err... sometimes...

I think they started to paint them because in a few years that dull black plastic turns white and chaulky from the wheather then it'll look like ****.

I like it, in the past there's always been some way for those in the know to spot a muscle car one year from the next just by a quick visual. Not bad either way, just nice to have something different.

I just picked mine up on sat, the bumper is painted now... but its not as smooth as the rest of the truck, its like the back bumper inserts where it looks kinda rough. It looks nice though, a little change.
