Its possible that the bulbs were not properly rebased. If the focal point is off even by a little bit your beam pattern will be jeapordized.

I have a set of CQlight.ca HID's on my '07 GC. I also have this brand in my wife's MDX and on my BMW K1200GT moto. No problems with any of the sets. BUT, in my Jeep, the light pattern was so low after putting in the HID bulbs that I had to adjust the beams waaay up and now my high beams shine in the trees (both the lows and high's adjust together on one screw). CQlight sent me replacement bulbs to try but that did not help. I held the oem bulbs and the HID bulbs side by side and the location of everything looks exactly the same. Anyone have this problem? I added a small set of PIAA driving lights to the front but they are not as bright as the factory high beams. I thought about adding PIAA 910's behind the grill but didn't want to spend the money on it. Thoughts?

Anyone install HIDS in their high beams? I tried this but the bulbs wouldn't turn on.

They should and can work, however the reason NO ONE DOES THIS is Because HIDs need to warm up, if you use the high beam flash you will be buying lots of bulbs.

as you can see, i have installed HID's for my Hi's, Low's, and Fog's and they all work perfectly. keep in mind that relays are needed for the low's and hi's, but not the fog's (atleast the relay's were not needed in my setup for the fog's)

I did say they will work, what i have heard is if you use the HB flash a lot it diminishes bulb life or it wont even work, because the bulbs take a second or 2 to get to full on.

looks good BTW.

tru, it takes a bit for the gases to heat up. i generally don't use mine much but when i do i really do so it tends to work out for me since i rarely "flash" the hi beams, when i put them on they stay on for a while.
