Yes, it felt great to beat the crap out of a SMART car today! I was coming out of the store after a beer-run and noticed this SMART car revving his engine--all 3 cylinders!-- at the stop light across the street. With 58 brake horsepower on tap in that SMART car, I knew the Jeep was in for a serious run!! Anyway, he gave me the head nod as I was headed toward the Jeep and then he dumped the clutch and I knew it was ON! I opened the back hatch of the Jeep and secured the beer, adjusted the golf clubs, and finally settled into the driver's seat. I fired that bad-boy up and after selecting the right CD, I made my way to the street. The guy was FLYING by now! He must have made at least 70' by the time I hit the street. I stopped for the light and then mashed the gas. I could see him looking in his rear-view thinking he had me, but as I past him, in reverse, he knew he was toast. :rolleyes:
The guy said he's going to get a catback and CAI next week and we'll run em again. I told him I'd go again, but this time he only gets a 5th of a mile head start.... Watch out for those SMART cars! They're gunning for us.
