I'm about to take possession of my first ever new vehicle (jgc srt8, 07) and am considering doing a hard breakin:

Does anyone have any experience with this type of breakin? Advice?
Thanks.

Done.
As far as traditional easy breakins go, the technical reasoning for them can be found here:

Everything I have ever owned has been driven like it's stolen after the first 300 miles.

I broke mine in running hard, from the get-go. I wasn't as scientific about it as this, but yeah, I gave the pedals a good stomping right out of the lot! No problems to date.
I took the same advice a BMW dealer gave my old man many years ago when he bought a new bimmer, which was:
"Give this thing hell right out of the lot. There's nothing worse than a BMW that's been broken in by Grandma." :D
Time will tell, I guess... The old man's BMW never had any problems that I'm aware of, and he took the dealer's advice, too! :)
