What mileage are you at? Off the top of my head I remember Don saying there was a $200 charge after 12k miles then it goes up from there. Also don't forget about the $500 SRT charge. So realistically its begins at $1300 depending on mileage (if you did not include those fees)
Besides the dealer check out other sources for extended warranties.

Heres the google search for extended warranties.

Whats everyone else paying for extended warranties?

Given the complexities and repair costs of today's cars, I would absolutely get a Chrysler warranty before you base warranty expires.

I would determine how long and how many miles you plan to keep your truck, shop around for the best price, and get the coverage for that time/mileage. If you sell it sooner, it will only help the truck's value, and one real repair will cost close to what you were quoted.

I baked one in to my transaction when I bought it, I got (50/60, $50 deductible) and loaner car for any overnight repair, for about half of what you are quoted. I based my term on time, because I never keep anything past 5 years and the JEEP is not my daily driver.

Good luck.

I am in the same boat, but have a little more time with a 3/2006 in service date and only 20K miles right now.

I am looking at the 7/70K and trying to figure out whether to go with a $0 or $100 deductible. The difference in price is about $350.

That would mean the car would have to go in on 4 seperate occations for warranty repairs between 3/2009 and 3/2013 for it to make sense to purchase the $0 deductible option.

What do you guys think?
a) 7/70K with $0 deductible
b) 7/70K with $100 deductible

I think $2000 - $2400 is super reasonable.

Where are you getting it? In Chicago? Can you post the info so I ca do the same? Dont want to be caught without the warranty.

Be sure to fill out the email field and wait to recieve an email with promo code for $180 off.

I have shopped it and this is the best price I could find. It is an OEM warranty that will be honored at and dealership.

Now, should I pay for the $0 deductible option or just stay with the $100 deductible?

Yeah, I here you, but if the car would have to break down 4 times between March of 2009 and March of 2013 before the $0 deductible option makes sense. I am not sure I will keep it that long. Even a major catastrophe would only cost $100. Plus its a per visit not per item deductible. So if the car is brought in for several warranty issues, the $100 is paid once.

Does anyone think that the premium for the $0 deductible is worth its price in resale?

^^^^ Agree. I also went with 7/70, zero deduct. The difference in price between zero deduct and $100 deduct, over the life of the warranty, was $400. That comes down to 4 trips within 7 years. It's a no brainer for me.

...its actually 4 trips in 4 years because I still have 1yr left of the remaining 3yr/36K factory is $0 deductible...and chances are I will only keep it for 2 of those 4 years....
