: Wife has Jeep, pray for me...

...and my car.

Wife's ml320 needed new brakes and rotors all around.

MB Quoted 1000.00 for the job

"Honey, I ll save you monoey and do it myself."
"Sure you will"

Sure enough her brakes were shot to hell (surprised?) but they were also rusted solid to the hub after 3 years of abuse and NE winters.

Needless to say it was 2 AM and I wasnt done:(

"Well, I dont care, I ll just take the Jeep to work"

my look of disgust was priceless.

I have a beater that I drive but this barely even has a steering wheel and needs a special touch to drive.

So at 7am I heard some keys jingle and minutes later the beast came to life and was gone...:( :(

"Good day honey, see you later."

"Dont park head in to a space, dont park near curbs, dont park near other cars, dont gun it around a turn, dont speed, and dont get it dinged up. If you do dont bother coming home."

on that note, pray for the beast and wish her a safe return. Thanks

Dont have your 408 anymore?

I had to drive my bolt on 5.9 for a while the other day and I was sure everything was broken on it but I came to remember just how sloppy they are compared to our SRTs.

Had the monster home for 15 min after buying it in June. The wife takes it for a spin and leaves me standing in the driveway with our kids. While pulling out of the driveway, she runs over the belgium block and knocks the last block loose. She knew she hit it but kept driving. Heard the thing open up full throttle on the main road about 2 blocks from our house. For 15min while she was gone, I was expecting the worst. She returned, there was no damage. That was the last time she drove it. I threw the broken block in the garbage and haven't fixed it yet as a reminder of the incident. Go get your beast back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, I ABSOLUTELY feel your pain! My wife's MB was in for the exact same thing - brakes all the way around. And since I was gone for the weekend she had to drive the Jeep. It was only her second time driving it and I MADE her practice parking it in the garage before I left -- its a tight fit! She asked if she could just leave it in the driveway..... Umm, NO! At least the Harley is parked in front of the Infiniti! This is the same woman that BLEW by me on the autobahn 3 days earlier in her MB -- in the rain! When we got home I asked her what she was thinking and she replied "You're just pissed because I beat you on the autobahn". Yeah, and she's driving the Jeep on the bahn! I told her the same thing that you did -- "If you wreck it or scratch it, don't bother coming home". Damn we're brutal. I even make her close the door on the truck by just using one finger on the chrome strip below the window because I don't touch the paint unless I am washing or waxing and I can buff the chrome...

I remember comming home from work one day and seeing the most god awful site ever,If you could picture this,I get infront of my house and look down the driveway and my Dodge dullie's rear end is about 3 feet off the ground. How is this possible you ask?She drove my convertible Porsche 993 right under it up to the windshield!I am looking at this in astonishment trying to figure out how she managed this one.She comes out in tears and tells me that she just started it and it took off.I always leave my car in 1st gear, but you can't start it unless the clutch is pushed in.What happened was she released the clutch and forgot it was in gear.Instead of pushing back in the clutch she tried to hit the brake, but in her panic she managed to hit the accelerator.Since then I no longer have the Porsche or the wife. :)

I love it. Yeah I am fearing for the worst.

As far as the 408 goes, we sold it a little while back. It was like a terminally ill patient, we just had to let it go. Not before ruling the South FLorida streets though and making "that Black Jeep" a legend down there. It was an emotional loss for my brothers and myself and we vowed that when the SRT came out one (or all) of us would get. I have done my part. ;)

lmao

My wife takes my Jeep occasionally and (knock on wood) there have been no incidents. But when you hear the phrase " I feel the need for speed" followed by WOT, your heart will skip a beat or two. But thankfully she knows to be super careful.

Awesome.

Its 2pm, do you know where your loved ones are?

The squirrel sh!t on my hood is the least of my concerns right now.

"Sorry, about the wheels honey, I cut it a little close parking today"

No she didn't. Tell me you're joking. But then again, if she did, its a perfect excuse to throw on some new, shinier wheels.

My wife took three of her girlfriends on a cross state weekend trip early this summer. She emailed me a picture of them all dressed up for a night out in front of the jeep just to taunt me.... dammit. She does love to drive it though.

The wife took it once, while I was in Montreal being the best man at my friend's bachelor party. . . it was 12 days old and had just been coated with it's first coat of KKS wax and put in the garage (wash and wax job done from 5-7am that Friday morning before the drive to the great white north). . . she called and told me she was taking it out to see some friends, and the rest of my weekend was ruined until I could get home and make sure my baby was safe, she called me Friday at 4. . . why do they hate us?

The Lincoln isn't a new model but my keyboard is. I rearranged the keys according to my Feng Shui consultant. Apparently the N key is happier being between the T and E. Go figure. Needless to say, typos are occurring at a blistering pace.

Wait, THAT made your day?? I'm glad I could help but you really need a hobby! But just in case my R vs N typo could bring a bit more joy to someone else, I'm leaving it as it is.

Hahahaha! My wife used my Jeep the other day as her vehicle was in getting service work...I had to pull the garage queen (Cobra) out for some weekday driving.:)

She told me she backed out of the driveway, put it in drive and stepped on the gas like she would in her Volvo SUV. The Jeep lurched forward hard and all their heads snapped backwards (wife and 3 kiddo's....going to school). My 6 yr. old son and 4yr. old daughter started laughing and made some wiseass comments to her. My son later told me it took off like the Cobra lol!!

Since the SRT8 is her car, my wife loves driving it. While it is great fun to drive it myself, it is just about as much fun to be in the passenger seat while she drives it. The looks she gets and the thumbs up from other drivers can only be adequately seen from the passenger seat.

I recommend that you all try it!

she made it back fine. All os well except that there are paw prints all across the hood like a cat was crossing it. That ***** should know better.

Between that and the squirrel, I have some cleaning to do.

Great for "cleaning" cat & squirrel. Verrrry quiet. Pain free. Mob approved.
