: HID pics
Dr.Steve 02-05-2008, 06:28 AM I just realized that although my HID's have been in for over a year, I never posted up a pic, so here is a front shot after a thorough Sunday morning cleaning. . . I should have taken more pics, it snowed on my way to work Monday morning and the wash was ruined:flame:

the lows and fogs are both 6000K, no flickering with relays on both sides. . . occasionally (1 in 100 starts or so) one of the lights won't fire up, but a quick key cycle and they always bounce right back. Fire away any questions or compliments, I'm ready for ya :ninja:

Texas_Venom 02-05-2008, 06:52 AM Looks great. I have been thinkin about upgrading the bulbs to some PIAS, but I like the HIDs. Where did you get your kit from and did you do the install yourself?
dsalogia 02-05-2008, 07:35 AM whats up dr steve...i think i have seen your beast on the road before (license plate)...I am in hackensack, nj...you?

got my kits from xenondepot, did a good job on pricing though the drop shipper screwed up and shipping took a while. . . I had the mechanic across the street from where I work put them in for me, the lows were a snap and I helped with them during lunch hour, the fogs were a ***** though and took some time. The ballasts are all hidden under the headlight "covers" under the hood, no wiring is seen in the engine bay unless you look really hard.

Hey, nice to know there are some other forum members around. I work in Iselin but live in West Orange and I'm all over northern and central NJ visiting friends and family. I sometimes see a JGC SRT8 on the road, I get the occasional nod/wave, but usually they ignore me and are clearly not forum members (no visual mods is usually my first clue:D). Honk if you see me again, and we'll open 'em up and run 'em!

JJJ93z 02-05-2008, 08:37 AM Looks great! What brand ballasts and bulbs are you running? Do those 6000k have a "bluer" at night? I'm currently looking for HID fogs to match my factory HIDs, but IICR the stock temp is around 4300k.

there are 9005 4300K's available, but since our fogs are actually h10/9145's you may have to shave a little off the 4300Ks to get them in the fog housing nice. otherwise there are mccullogh 3000k's in our factory size. ;)
OurZoo 02-05-2008, 08:56 AM The HIDs look very nice Steve. Sorry about the snow lol.
Matt McKenzie 02-05-2008, 09:38 AM Great pics...just got my HIDs imstalled two weeks ago and am happy as hell with them!!!

the fogs are mcculloch (sp?) and the lows are phillips ultinon slim, the 6000k is a pretty true white, not very blue. . .
thanks for the positive comments guys, I can really feel the love . .

XenonDepot 02-22-2008, 10:05 AM Hey Dr Steve,
We have H10 kits available in all our colour temperatures. This is the kit you would need to order for the SRT8 fog lights.
Steve
Street WK 02-22-2008, 10:59 AM What happend to the kit you got from me?

hey Street, sorry, my memory is hazy but I thought I ended up getting both sets on-line, if I got one of 'em from you, it's working fine!
Steve
Street WK 02-22-2008, 01:10 PM ^ Yeah, remember I sent you a HID kit for a discounted price and you were supposed to do a write-up, but got busy with work. No biggie.
Dr.Steve 02-22-2008, 01:33 PM :omy sincere apologies Street, I do remember that, I think I got my lows from you, is that right? I believe I bought two sets of the H10's, a cheap one that crapped out and then the phillips (those would be the two sets I bought on-line), the lows are one of your sets though and I forget the brand name? I don't know if you're still selling them, but for anyone interested, the install was a breeze, and as I've stated before, they work great! I really hope I didn't f*ck you up by not doing this sooner Street, you have always been a stand-up guy around here and it was not my intent to screw you, especially since you gave me a discount! If anyone would like, I'll be happy to post some under the hood shots of the set-up and wiring/mounting, just speak up!
Steve
Street WK 02-25-2008, 03:46 PM ^ Dr., no way man... you're good to go! I don't sell them anymore. I had forgotten all about it too, haha. No need to apologize brother!
aplatero1984 02-25-2008, 05:11 PM Nice Steve! looks really good! big difference huh?!
Billmoe 03-09-2008, 04:42 PM Looks really nice! I just got my 5000K's. Quality (in box) looks excellent. Haven't installed because weather still too cold for tinkering. I was jumping an older car of mine today and did a quick look see to visualize where I'll try to hide the wiring (harness and power). Any pics advice from you would be great.
Tony Rags 03-10-2008, 07:47 AM I need to install my HID fogs also on my '08. I'm thinking that I may go for ballast positioning on the inside of the fenders, next to the battery on drivers side, and next to the airbox on the passengers.
