No kidding!?!?!? F@#k it, get rid of it and get a Bwoody! They send directions, and will help you out oh the phone if you are putting it in backwards!
maxxjeep 02-02-2008, 12:30 PM That little sensor is a pain in the arse. took me a good 20 minutes to figure out how to get it out of the stock tube also. there is a little clip (I think, it's been a while) that i used a screwdriver to press down to pull it out, then just pull pretty hard.
the hardest part was the pulling. The stock tube is rubbery hehe and I had to result to pliers. fortunately I managed not to break the dang thing, but re4ally just PULL HARD!
I'm sure if I'm wrong someone who is actually willing to help will chime in ;)

BigLew 02-02-2008, 03:06 PM Where in VA are you? I'm in Fairfax. Put my Volant on about two months ago, real easy.
jebzter 02-03-2008, 07:02 PM Got instructions...HOWEVER, the DAMN ATS sensor is a B*t*h to remove. I'm stuck here. In fact, I broke a piece of the sensor...no CELs but this is what's hindering me.
Any "good samaritan" willing to assist a fellow SRT-8 owner?
C'mon! FREE BEER! :-)
Matt McKenzie 02-03-2008, 07:10 PM I would if I was near...free beer is always a plus!
ProjectWJ 02-03-2008, 09:06 PM just go buy another IAT sensor. $20 at your dealer and worth it to avoid the aggravation.
OurZoo 02-03-2008, 09:09 PM Gently insert a flathead screwdriver and slowly edge it out. It's harder to get the IAT back in the new tube. Try some lube to make it a little easier.
jebzter 02-04-2008, 05:03 AM It's the IAT? Volant's instructions states "ATS"... If so, yea - I'll just purchase a new one from the dealer. Got part no.'s?
skibum 02-04-2008, 08:15 AM I had a Volant System and just recently god rid of it. I thought the quality was very poor and when I went to remove it, the filter tore almost in half! Go with K&N or Airaid
pcguru2k 02-04-2008, 12:33 PM I installed the Bwoody this week and the IAT pulled out and put it back on with ease? No one ate their Wheaties over the weekend? :)

That's because Bwoody's are the best and they almost install themselves they are so good!!!
