Just spoke to my dealer he said he did not hear of this halt, but last year,they had a halt as well just to clear the 05s,Same for this year trying to clear the 06s at 0% financing.All models srt8 that were made to order are a sold vehicle so they will still produce that vehicle at no special delay they are a priority vehicle.They dont want to produce hundreds or thousands of these 07 grand cherokees or commanders just to sit around in a yard until the 06 models are to a minimum.Please call the dealer you ordered your truck from and see if you come up with the same results.Thanks

Your dealer has no idea what he is talking about. They didn't have a stoppage like this last year. The plant is CLOSED, the workers are laid off for a month, they will NOT be building vehicles during this time.

I would imagine that if they had any brains they would continue to finish SOLD Orders and SRT8's since it is bring the most for it's money selling well over sticker in some cases. I hope your dealer is right. I guess we will wait and see what tomorrow brings. My dealer is contacting they're Jeep Rep to get the low down. they can't afford to build a few hundred sold orders... its not efficiant enough for them.. and money over sticker has nothing to do with the factory, the dealer gets all that money.. i am from michigan and personally know people that work at the plant who have a nice lil bit of vacation.. well and at ford plants and at... well everyplant

I am sure that they do not have enough SRT8-specific parts in the pipeline to produce nothing but SRT8 GC's. Although we love these vehicles, they are not special in that they still need production lead time, etc. If the plants down, it's down.
