So last night I'm driving home at about 12:30 am. I pass a silver previous Generation M5. As I come to the light there are 2 open lanes and as I get to the light it turns green, so I stop anyway and gun it a little bit to get his attention and he takes it. He floors it as I just shift into second and he gets about a half car lead off the start, I floor mine and downshift to 1st and quickly gain a small lead. from there to about 90 when he lets off it was dead even the whole way. So if I got a even start I could have taken him without question. Pretty impressive for a 4800# SUV, my wife could not believe that it was that fast.:D :D
