: squirrel vs. SRT8 and I am losing bad
Untouchable 09-17-2006, 10:45 AM little b@stard was going through some type of seeds trees above where my car was parked. I come out and am greeted with about 30 little sap stains and a fat squirrel turd on my hood. This is after I spent 4 hours making the car spotless.
On recommendation of severeal members I have tried alcohol, but it is just not c oming off. I have done everything short of spit and a fingernail to get it off. ( i i tred clay but that made it worse.) My hood is not in good shape and this car is 4 months old. any suggestions?
SilverSRT8 09-17-2006, 11:13 AM Besides not parking under a tree??
I had some sap stuff get on my STi... I NEVER could get it off and I tried my fingernail too...
Try GooGone... thats my only suggestion.
jms935 09-17-2006, 11:18 AM Wipe it off with that little squirrel ba@#$rd!!
mac05 09-17-2006, 11:27 AM Go to auto zone and buy this stuff called Deep Crystal system paint cleaner by meguiars. It is in a burgandy bottle and it is awesome. It removes scratches, sap, gum, road tar etc.. I hope this helps. It should make dissapear or at least make it hard to notice. I can't really tell you what is best with out seeing pictures. I am a professional detailer so I have delt with this in the past good luck to you.
Then get a rat trap and stick it on a branch up in that tree.

Pellet pistol is much more satisfying.:)

its personal now:mad:
deep crystal, eh?
I ll give it a shot.
BLKltng 09-17-2006, 01:46 PM I get the same **** on my black lightning all the time. The best thing to get it of is a good compound. The other stuff just is not abrassive enough to remove the sap especially on a black car. First try a fine cut compound, that should do the trick. Once it is off you will need a polish or a glaze to remove some possible swirl marks left from the compound. Then seal it with a good wax. I used to detail cars for my friends detailing buisness. By the way you live on long Island don't you. Way to many squirls around here.
radduc 09-17-2006, 02:12 PM I would take a hammer to the hood and call your insurance company and thell them vandles got to your jeep. JK

if your paint was laquer then yes, but its not and will work perfectly.. just make sure to rewax that area, cause it will strip the wax
DRIHEAT 09-18-2006, 11:37 AM This has worked for me...

Untouchable 09-18-2006, 11:47 AM I love it...
This has become personal.
Its not as bad as my wife losing her bumper to a curb on a brand new srt8 (which happened on the blue forum) but damm!t it sucks. My wife thinks it is god s way of getting back at me for being so anal. Perhaps..., but there are other less, painful ways.
whipple1 09-18-2006, 03:40 PM Try the bug and tar remover, they sell it in strauss stores its in a spray can and is safe for all finishes,Im sure if it can take road tar off it will remove tree sap.Read the instuctions.
