You have to stand on the brake with your left foot and and give it some gas with your right foot. After getting the rpms up, floor it while releasing your left foot off the brake. REMEMBER TO HOLD ON! It will launch hard with some wheel spin.

The switch only turns off one element of traction control. You cannot completely disengage it at the switch as you can in the SRT-8 automobiles.

I was under the notion that hitting the factory ESP switch turns off the traction control 100%. However hitting the switch will NOT turn off the stability control. On other SRT8 cars you can hold the switch down for Xseconds to disable that feature also. The reason cars have the ESP switch is to disable the traction control 100% to allow the driver to spin the tires if one is suck in mud, ice, snow, sand, etc... Check the owners manuel and it explans the exact features of the ESP switch and what hitting the switch does and what hold the switch down for X seconds does (not advailable on the Jeep).

We have ported this mod over to the SRT Jeep, the only major difference is the ABS light will come on when you fully de-activate the TCS System

ESP/Fan Mod
disable's esp/tcs
allows user to turn on electric fans when needed, also ships with 180 t-stat

This is a user selectable race mode and the difference is with the system off is Huge, but you will get a ABS Light

Our Web site will be updated on the ESP mod to say that on the Jeep you will get a ABS LIGHT

On our Shop SRT Jeep, it will now Burn ALL 4 tires with the esp turned off...! make no mistake this is a go fast mod , the fan and thermostat is nice for daily driving.

If your concerned about daily driving with the abs this is exactly why we say its "user selectable" you decide if you want all the power for what ever situtation your in.

When you activate the mod the ABS light will be lit.

When you turn the mod off the abs light will go off.

This mod gives the User the option of a selctable race mode

The TCS (traction control system) is intergrated with the ABS system and that is why the abs light comes on.

I have informed everyone that this is the case.

Call us directly if you have any questions

I did, a good burn out is one of lifes simple pleasures, Different strokes for different folks. If we were all the same there would be no need for this forum. If you have seen the Jeep add with the colored birds starting tree you will see that even Jeep likes a good burnout.

Have a good one!

I agree with you, but the object of the mod is not that you can do a burn out, but that the electronics are not "holding" you back

I prefer going fast, i have two vehicles right now that the reason why they aren't faster is due to traction. My dodge srt-4 will spin with no hesitation through 1st and 2nd, and beginning of 3rd - My truck is a 95 Suburban with a whipple supercharged 454 and that thing goes through first like nothing. Burnouts are all they do but that frustrates me when the power is there but not put down and held.

GSM- Could you post any videos of the SRT8 spinning all 4 wheels??? I would bet that with a vid your sales would go up drastically.

I think we could see a 12 sec 1/4 mile with this mod alone. The tcs is obviously holding power back on launch. The jeep will still hook on a well prepped track with no traction control.

I noticed there's a nice big fat electrical connection on the transfer case. I've been wondering what might happen if it was unplugged (other than getting a check engine light!) maybe it would give a 50/50 torque split? Doing that in combination with fully disabling ESP would be interesting...

I'm with you. I have a turbocharged Ram SRT-10 that will stand still and boil the hides all day long. It get's attention but it doesn't help get it down the track. Lots of tire smoke doesn't impress me so much as a good 60 ft. time.

It is all about increasing the fun. I just received my GSM harness. It will go on Saturday. With this kit switched on you get to see how well you control the throttle cable ALL OF IT, with ESP depressed the car does the launch SPINLESS, ESP full on, safe and sane just like our crappy California fireworks. If you want all available throttle and know how to drive or want to learn how to drive go for it. Used to a throttle cable went directly between your foot and the carb/injection. No intervention. It is actually fun.

Try it, you'll like it.

Been there, done that.

My truck makes nearly 800 rwhp. That gives me all of the jollies I need. But, I have to really drive it to get it to hook up. It's a nice change of pace to have something that launches as well as this Jeep.
