I have decided to take the plunge on one of these beasts. I have an E46 M3 now and would like something that I can throw my bike in and my surfboard on top of. So out with the Euro car and in with the beast truck.

So, the question is...what is the fastest way to get ahold of a 2007 in black or silver? Dealers all want to order one, I want to find one that was ordered and the orderer doesnt want. I am in San Diego...thoughts?

Then you will most likely have to wait until the unit shows up and the orderer does not take delivery. If I were you, I'd order one, and have them just contact you if someone backs away from doing their deal on an ordered unit.

Radduc...agree that black is best, but also hardest to keep clean.

Beltfed...not sure if I agree or if that scares me.

I was in my dealer today (Foothill Ranch, CA) they have a Black 07, loaded for 46,500.
I spoke to the "dude" and he said they wanted 10 Grand over but that it was "negotiable"
They also have an 06, Black, 4000 miles, everything except the rear dvd.
The story is that a guy bought it 4 months ago for cash and now wants to release the cash to buy an apartment building????
Anyway, it is very clean looking.
Tell them I sent you and he promised me a HUGE referal fee??????????

I dont think so. Dealers seem willing to knock some money off sticker on the 2007s, but with the rumours of the production freeze...might be tough to get one anytime soon.
