Factor One Garage offers a true LED assembly for the LX platform. They were one of my favorite upgrades! With the help of load resistors, I also added LED signal towers. Is there anything like this for the GC's?

^Those look nice!

I don't know why they don't have some like that for the WK...at least nice OEM-looking ones. I've been looking for months and all I can find is the fugly-looking crap they sell on eBay. It amazes me... :(

Thanks. Too bad that was my Magnum. :(

I keep hearing the same thing from others - nothing decent for the WK. I have an inquiry in to Factor One Garage. Keep your fingers crossed.

would it really be that hard to make them?

Yeah, I don't get it. The aftermarket is just odd. They make all kinds of crap that most people don't want, but the stuff people really want, nobody has.

There are a few companies making some nice, OEM-looking tails for the COMMANDER, and you can find them on eBay. Here is an eBay link (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-07-08-JEEP-COMMANDER-RED-LED-TAILLIGHTS-TAIL-LIGHTS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33716QQihZ001QQi temZ110216463050QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW).

Still can't find any nice ones for the WK Grand, though. Only ones that look ricer-ish. Who knows....

Maybe, if everyone here sent Factor One Garage an email requesting some high-quality LED tails.... hmmm.....

I think DOT approval can be tough. However, I would roll the dice and buy some either way if they were nice - not rice.

heheheee ;)

The Commander ones I've seen were DOT approved, I think...

What's the web page or email for Factor One...? I tried Google and I couldn't seem to find them.

This should probably be started in a new thread, but anyway....

There is apparently a company making/selling retrofitted projector headlamp housings for the 05-07 Grand Cherokees. Here's a link to a thread on JeepsUnilimited.com (http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/showthread.php?t=869240&highlight=projector+retrofit), and here is link to the web page (http://www.izntrbl.com/0507-jeep-cherokee-projector-headlights-p-230.html) of the maker. I don't know much about them, but they look decent enough. I'm not sure if anyone has purchased from them yet, or not, as I think they just finished with their first set...

Oh, and here is a pic:

Oh yeah...there's also the VMAXX (http://www.vmaxx.de/en/public/?fz=38) kit (from Germany) but that is around $2k if you can find a local distributer!

Maybe, but it is still good info for those looking for projectors to go with their upgraded taillights.

I would be down for sure.... I have been wanting projectors forever and those chrome ones make it look 100% OEM. I actually wish that just the low beams were projector but beggers can't be choosers right?! They are damn sexy though.

Brian, I have LED lights on the Cayenne (came standard) for the rear running lights and they are BRIGHT so bright they are hard to look at BUT definately no one is going to rear end you in the fog-LOL. I thought there was a guy on here that sold a complete replacement set of bulbs for the interior and exterior for the Jeep and they were all LED? Yeah it was Marcel, m3_il

I have done the LED replacement bulb thing before, and I wasn't happy with the intensity. An LED replacement assembly that is made from the beginning to be an LED taillight is much more effective (like your Cayenne).

That is on the right track though. Make them smoked red like the example in my first post, or black tinted would be a good option as well.

IMHO Altezza =

The first once off of the magnum actually look better than stock, only modded tailights IMO that don't make the car look cheaper

Now these are getting real close. For those of you with murdered GC's....

Had those on my old 02 Grand... sprayed em black. They looked real sharp after they were blacked out. Very ugly before hand though.
