Has anyone seen any A-pillar pods yet for the jeep, or know of a good solution for mounting gauges in that area?

Well GSM is supposed to be making a dual gauge one.

I went to a local customizing shop and they were hesitant to install gauges in the pillar because of the side curtain/pillar airbag, which could apparently be messed up (or cause injury) if gauges are installed in that location. Instead, I had them custom build four Autometer gauges right into the dash above the glove compartment. Perfect fit, and looks GREAT. I tried to post pics a while ago, but all I have is a megapixel cell phone camera and couldn't post because the file size was too large.

Isn't there an air bag right there as well?

Yes...the shop pulled the A-Pillar off and there was an airbag inside that clearly looked to be problematic for pillar mounted gauges.

DUH...JESUS...I can't believe I just said that!! Yes, there is a passenger side airbag on the Jeep in the dash, but the gauges fit in the spot between the airbag and the glove box. Gauges are below the airbag and there's no interference.
