I'm sold!!!
Lil0ne 01-23-2008, 10:24 AM Cool product.. but its $200 + shipping ( so lets say $210 ).
I get my filters for a max of 7bucks.
I drive 24k miles a year
I change the oil in the jeep somewhere between 3k & 4k miles.
To spend $210 in oil filters I would have to do about 30 oil changes, so it would take about 5 years for me to start " saving " money.
If i saw this when I 1st got my jeep.. than I would prob. have it in right now, but its almost 2 years old and prob only has another 4 left till i trade it in.
So I will be hitting up the napa gold for now.

good point! yeah for 200 bucks? that's a little to much
theoneyoucantreplace 01-23-2008, 10:44 AM Its a great product, but the pricing is not slated to the consumer. At $200 if benefits the sellers more than us. At $125 it would be a good option.
SRT Great 01-23-2008, 10:51 AM What about that paper breathing trick? Paper vs. screen, is it snake oil salesmanship? M1 filter uses synthetic and K&N uses a treated paper (cellulose) filter media. If paper couldn't filter than that would mean the bypass valve would be operating all the time, and on those without a bypass valve would be blowing holes in the paper. Too many questions to be answered to sell me on this with just a "I can blow through this screen trick". They're not telling the full story, which is.....I don't know. And for $200, it's not cost effective.
nycxed 01-23-2008, 11:00 AM $200... hmmmm
gafettaia 01-23-2008, 12:21 PM I have them on two cars. I think you can do just as well with a good K&N filter and a filter magnet.

A filter magnet? what is this you speak of? And are K&N and this filter better than the Mobil 1 ones?
ramtough15 01-23-2008, 04:08 PM I use these types of filters on both my Jeep SRT and my 300C SRT. I plan on keeping my cars so it was a no brainer for me and both my SRT's are 06 models. I have had thses filters on them since I bought each car and have had no problems, no leaks and the good thing is that when you do change the oil you are able to unscrew the filter and look inside to see if you are getting any shavings or is there is any damage going on with your engine. Since I have a heavily modded 300SRT it helps me to watch and make sure all is well when I do change my oil. Do I feel they are better than other brands.. all I can say is that when I first bought one for my 300SRT I also started using BND oil and my miles per gallon got better by about 3MPG. Could have been the oil could have been the combo not sure but I have not noticed any bad effects only good ones.
FDNY-L107 01-23-2008, 04:13 PM FilterMag - no one should be running without one. For $60, put it on for 3,000 and then pull off your oil filter and cut it open to see the proof. Best $60 you'll ever spend.

Stupid question on my part, who/what is BND oil, and why do you use it? Thanks

Check out www.BNDAUTOMOTIVE.com I get a special blend oil from them as well as ACES fuel additive. Very nice guy and very smart when it comes to oils and fuels. He does a lot of work with the military I believe. His name is Brian Schubert. I used to get a clicking sound from my 300SRT when it was at idle, when I started using their oil it was gone that day. I get better MPG on boths SRT'S and the cars run great.
