I have two sets with a medium tint ready to roll. the tails are scuffed, painted three coats, clearcoated and baked. the finish is better than the paint on your car.

You know how it goes buddy, you always have to pay top dollars for the newest "trends"... IT sucks, but that's just how it goes.

800 is for a new set, you keep your originals. if you want to exchange them its 400.

if you do this the correct way, it is just like painting a car. the lights are prepped(scuffed and masked) painted three coats(drying time between each coat), clearcoated and than baked for 6 hours.

of course there are cheaper ways to do this, but you get what you pay for. i use what is the most expensive paint, hardener and clear on the market.

I've tried about 6 different ways through the years and will 100% vouch for the tails that zen puts out.
Quality usually costs...

They are done the exact same shade as my car, the black one in this thread. they are painted a medium tint. It is still light enough to see red through but not too light. I run this shade on all my cars, never an issue.

Not to bust balls at all,but wouldn't you want to use paint that is realy inexpensice since the finish is on the inside and will look the same from the tails.

not to bust balls either, but you really do get what you pay for.

how many times have we all learned that in life. you think you are being wise by saving a few bucks on a job, only to have it turn out like crap. I have learned this on many occasion myself. I have built and rehabbed many a house. I wish I knew this when I was younger. It would have saved me alot of heartache.

Zen you are so true, some stuff in life you can replicate on the cheap, however some stuff needs to be done right the first time. I don't like having to go back fixxing something up, or regretting I didn't get it right the first time. Whenever you cut corners in life it will definately come back and kick you in the arse. :D
