: Wow - Has It Been Two Years Already..
maf1960 01-18-2008, 06:00 AM Time really does FLY - just like my Beast! Next month will be my 2 year anniversary for my build. Honestly, aside from a couple of recall, small item stuff and a minor tranny (the "10k issue") I have been VERY pleased as an owner. I STILL get admirations while crusing along. It feels like I have a brand new vehicle everytime I get into my truck. My habit has been getting a new car every two years. I just do not have the interest of looking around for that "something special." Sure, there are a few cars out there that I would love to have BUT they are not as "special" as a 6.1/420 HP GC SRT/8. I am looking for creativety and imagination...and I cannot find that out there today. Does anyone else feel the same way about there Beast?
Matt McKenzie 01-18-2008, 06:09 AM I have only had mine for seven months....but it never gets old...I still stare at when I walk away...sometimes I will stick my head out the door and start it, just to hear it...and I always get a hard-on everytime I sit in it, start it, and roll away!!! I see me keeping this vehicle for a very long time!

Matt, I see in your sig, that you had your resonators removed. How much louder is it with them off?

Very noticeable...a lot louder than stock...there is a nice hum inside the Jeep as well!

jayzstang 01-18-2008, 07:59 AM I couldn't agree more. I came out of the DMV yesterday looked at the Jeep and said to myself, "Damn that that truck is sexy."
The wife took off down the driveway today and i actually went over to the window to watch it, i mean her, from behind....:)
I still think the stock exhaust sound is the best oem sound ever!
My 6yr old son absolutely loves when i punch it (no idea where he gets that from:rolleyes:)
It seems to go on and on.
veyronSRT8@TTCreations 01-18-2008, 08:52 AM lovin this ride since before even owning it. ;) it's hard to not want to do good things for it, like modding it.
ajharman 01-18-2008, 09:15 AM Wonderful machine. I just got mine three weeks ago and I could se my self getting something else as a DD eventually and driving the SRT8 on weekends or something, try to keep mileage down eventually. I am almost scared to go drive it because i dont want anything bad to happen to it. Its like my baby, i just want to wax and polish it up and stare at it......and of course start it and put a smile on my face
ajharman 01-18-2008, 09:18 AM except for the dumb*** owner before me had a problem in reverse...a little dent on the chrome trim piece on the back and a scratch or two on the bumper...and swirl marks like crazy, but what are you going to do. after all I did buy it used, i should have expected something like this. ill just give it a good wax or two and its all good. In the big scheme of things I LOVE IT
sy1616 01-19-2008, 05:30 PM I'm the same way, go through car every 12-24 months and must say my 08 will stay a while...likely longer. I can't get over how good it looks. I asked my wife to drive it today on the way to drop her car off at the dealer....what an in your face look...actually reminds me a lot of the GMC Typhoon in terms of presence. Love it!
promo718 01-19-2008, 05:49 PM funny, i was thinking the same thing the other day. i've had the rig for almost a year and a half now, 23k miles. any other car and i'd be looking for an exit point already - but w/ this baby i'm still careful w/ the paint, appearence, etc. i hesitate taking it out in the rain, and make sure to wash it asap if i do. it's the first vehicle i've ever owned which I actually want to put more $ into - mod-wise. i totally see myself driving this badboy for a long time. it's just too much fun to let go.

LOL! Well said.
Despite some of its compromises, this is the best vehicle I've ever owned. For me, at least, it fits like a glove. Right out of the box.
