I just wanted to know if our jeep srt8's has the engine block heater?
My srt8 is fully loaded but how can I find out or tell if I have a block heater?
Does it come standard?
Also, after 1 min of my car turned on in the dead of winter, my A/C already blows warm hair and my heat seats heat up.. could this be the works of a block heater? or are block heaters only used for a easy start up?
any info would be great. thanks

A block heater is something to keep the engine block warm during winter time. It plugs in to a regular electrical outlet while your truck is just sitting around and keeps it nice and warm to help with starting it up and so on. It does not come standard, and if I remember correctly, it ran me about $300 or $400 on the price ov the Jeep! The cord for it is in the engine bay, passenger side, up against the inside of the fender.

I've had my 2008 for about five months now and only recently found the location of the cord for the engine block heater. It is under the plastic head cover over the passenger side of the engine block. I spent a ton of time trying to find it and was thinking I didn't get my $40 dollars worth, but lo and behold it was there all the time. HTH
