Looks like the SRT8 GC "Export Models" have a nice leather-wrapped E-Brake handle... has to be just a cover I would think. Now the problem is where to find it... my Jeep parts guy isn't showing any info on it.

Any good auto uphosterer should be able to make one and just slip it on for you. That does look really nice.

i guess when my customers comes in (he has an 07 on the way) i will have to make some templates and all to produce some.. how much would you spend on one?

... how much would you spend on one?I would spend up to $75 for a nice leather, thickly-padded, color matched cover.

Just for kicks I will try and see what the part goes for here in Germany and keep you posted. If its like everything else here it'll be expensive. I was on a German classified car ad site today and regular 2006 Grand Cherokees are going for 48,900 EURO -- that's well over $60K at today's exchange rate!

MJ BahnBlastR - if you don't mind, PM me the last nine digits of your VIN - my parts guy might be able to indentify the part number of the brake cover this way. Thanks in advance!

I'd definitely do it. That is the one interior item that makes me cringe when I see it. I is so cheap looking and wobbly.

If I could, I'd change out the whole stick to a shorter, thicker leather one.

There is no solution except cutting it off.

If that didn`t work I would be happy to PM mine, The UK spec cars have the same brake handle.

A VIN is not needed for your dealer to look up the part (don't let him tell you otherwise), the brake handle is not vin filtered and there are only three different ones for the WH for 2006 and 3 totally new part numbers for 2007.

However, your U.S. dealer will NOT be able to order the part for you, there are very strict rules on export parts and it is unlikely he will get around them. You are probably looking at a MSRP of near $200 and you would probably have to have someone overseas get it for you - and their list price is higher, add shipping and you'd be looking at a cost as high as $300 or better.
