Just found this funny. I took the SRT8 upstate this week-end. I pulled into a parking lot of a golf course that I was going to play and while waiting for other members of my group to show up, in comes a BMW X5 4.4. The guy stares down my jeep with his like he's never seen one before. So, he pulls over to bag drop and I walk over. We start talking and he's already knows about the SRT and knows what it will do to his X5. But the funniest thing was, he goes "thats a very sharp jeep and for under $50,000" So I turned to him and said, I paid under $40,000. His jaw dropped and didn't say much afterwards. Just found it kinda amuzing :D :D :D

People like that kill me. Some people are all about the badging, if it doesnt say mercedes or BMW some people wont buy it. Screw that, i'll buy a SRT over a X5 anyday ..

Yeah there are definitely some people like that out there. I just thought I'd mention when i was on my way home today a kid in a lexus pulled up next to me and looked over at the car. The light turned green and he hit the gas. I floored it and spun the wheels a little before making him look like he was going backwards. This car is amazing, got it up to 135 before I realized he was way behind. :)

I was driving to the bank when a professional-dressed guy in an Overland signalled me to put the window down/ He proceeded to explain to me how he was in the dealer recently and put 6g down on a SRT GC but that his wife nixed the sale. Then came the usual questions "Is it really that fast?"

"Hell yes it is"

He left saying, "G-d Damn that's a beautiful truck, I'm gonna get it even if I have to divorce my wife."

you should have said you were looking to get the X5 4.8 but decided you wanted something fast and got the SRT instead. (even the 4.8 is crap)

I used to have an X5 4.4 and I have to say that I enjoyed driving it quite a bit - smooth power and BMW quality. But compared to my SRT, it sucks. But don't get me wrong, I showed up quite a number of people that didn't know what kind of speed it was packing. Horribly uncomfortable seats, though.
