Norwalk Raceway, recently renamed Summit Raceway located in Norwalk Ohio. By far the best dragstrip in the state. They will have their test n' tune Friday nights starting up in spring.

Hey guys, another TBSS owner here, and the guy who is actually putting this lil meet together. Although we all love to BS and talk crap about one anothers choices on hot rod SUV's, I hope everyone knows that we all respect each others vehicles. I for one love the GCSRT8's, and totally respect them, regardless of what I run. Beautiful trucks, awesome interiors, and great hp!

Anyways, it would be awesome if some you guys/gals were able to make it out. It's shaping up to be a pretty darn good day, with highs being in the low 40's, and also being sunny, so definitely great weather for racing, and hopefully some new bests. :) I have probably 10-12 TBSS's coming, 2-3 Silverado SS's, a handful of regular Silverado's and Sierra's, 4-5 f-bodies, and maybe an import or two thrown in for good measure. :D

I myself will be driving down from Clarksville, TN, and will have a couple of people following along, and will be meeting a few more along the way. We are coming I-24E, heading towards Chattanooga, and then hitting I-59S, which the track is right off of. Any of you are more than welcome to meet us along the way, and cruise down with us. Would make for a cool lil convoy on the interstate for sure. :)

We do it all the time here in Texas, In fact I'm helping a buddy of mine doing a cam swap on a SS truck in a few weeks and letting one of his buddy who is actually doing the cam swap stay with me at my place. There is no more pleasure to me than seeing modded SUV/TRUCKS run down the track especially agains a lighter car:D no matter what make,brand or model. I love seeing the response from onlookers and non believers when an SUV/TRUCK hits the 12's or faster, PRICELESS

As far as "bolt on's" as jordo9998 said the only one it takes is a CAI. That and a good dyno tune and they are neck and neck. Raced a srt8 with just those two mods from about a 55 mph roll and we were DEAD even till about 85-90 when we both let off. We all know that the jeep is faster when they are both stock, and if I would have raced him from a stop then yeah of course he prob would have gotten me by a good bit.

So, i'd spend the 250 for the CAI, the 600 for the dyno tune to be dead even with a srt8. Guess it's better to spend the 850 on those two mods than spending the 20,000 difference for the jeep. Thats just my opinion though. I Still think those Jeeps are bad azz.

Stock limiter is at 130. I've hit that pretty quickly, definitely had a lot more to go, just wouldn't let me. A tune fixes that.

Your an idiot! You should go out for NASCAR reaching those kinds of speeds. Gosh, your real brave. I'll walk your **** from 55 till you wanna quit big boy. You seem to forget that your 4wd, anyone who knows anything about cars knows that 4wd hinders you more the faster you go. And that top speed limiter is LONG GONE on mine. Like I said, yeah you guys are a little quicker off the line. You also have a much higher stall than we do which helps. All that takes is a quick replacement with a 3400 Vigilante, then it's bye bye jeep.

Please provide the details of where I can by a new, loaded, AWD TBSS for 23,000? I want to buy 25 of them at that price, and then I will sell them to family and friends for a small profit.

Matt you can totally relate, you know how VW get togethers go. At any given VW show, you have guys with new and old VW's, Audi's, heck...even BMW and Mercedes guys show up from time to time. The point? To appreciate eachothers rides. Lots of times, you get imports like Hondas, Toyotas, etc. And guess what? Everyone gets along. None of this childish, immature mud slinging. It's about the appreciation of automobiles. It's about the joy of driving and sharing that passion with others.

The world is what we make of it, so lets just have fun and enjoy life while we're all still around.

VW meets are amazing...everyone looks at everyone elses rides and appreciates them for what they have done to them, and not what they are! I think it should be that way on here! I think everyone agrees and knows that a stock GCSRT8 is faster than a stock TBSS....but with some mods, they can beat a stock GCSRT8...thus it is this way with most cars...lets just appreciate people for having the same love and enthusiasm in vehicles as we all do!!!

I really couldn't give a fragment of a **** what you think of me personally. And my skin is more than thick enough to handle whatever personal insults you throw out. This is the internet. Taking it too seriously is against the general rules.

Now while I didn't come out and insult you directly, instead I called it like I see it in pointing out how you're acting. If you don't like that, then tone it down. Referring to people as tossers, tools and whatever other lacking insults as well as general ****-talking to well-respected members here are a few of the reasons I made my post. Also, your general "TBSS owners drive inferior slow pieces of **** and I'm better than them" attitude hasn't helped.

As far as whether you stay, go, get banned or otherwise, I really don't care on that score either. It ran a 13.9 bone stock... With those mods it put down 380/386 Remember that all the mags test the AWD TBSS.. The 2wd trucks are much faster than AWD's.

I know the difference. I have yet to see a 2wd break out of the 14's stock. Most of the AWD stuff is in the mid-high 14's. I know the transmission is the real culprit for the slow times. Where are you located?

I would agree, my AWD ran 14.8 stock...with the usual bolt-ons and somewhat better weather its down to 12.8... with a few tenths left on the table.

I've seen a couple of 2wd stock SS's hit 13.7-13.9's bone stock at the track.
