I like it. Did you just use that mesh that you put in your gutter? What did you use to hold it in? you should get some pictures from behind the mesh

I used aluminum meshing so it would not rust.

I would post pics of the other side but i can't, there are these plastic scoops attached to those vents for air cooling the breaks down... Those scoops are whats holding the meshing in place. I had to take apart most of the bumper to get the meshing in there. I then used twist ties to keep the mesh in place while I put the plastic air scoops back on. (I then remove the twist ties!) the twist ties are just temp.. The scoops are pressing up against the mesh so it's not going anywhere with the way I mounted it.

I also cut out meshing for the back vents but I have deceided not to put them on the back bumper even tho they do look nice... There is no good way to mount them besides drilling holes in the bumper which i'm not going to do... They would not even function, it just looks nice. So all in all I just added to those front vents to give it a bit more of a touch... It came out great, i'm very happy with it.

there are two plastic pushscrew/bolt holding the top ends of the scoop in place, those will pop right off using a flat head. Next you will see a main steel bolt holding the lower half of the air scoop in place, this needs to come off as well. After that the scoop will de attach from the vent. pull the air scoop out all the way. Now you will be able to see right through the vents and see the ground. You will need to size up some mesh squares two of them. They don't have to be perfect, but just trim them until they fit to cover the area well. You will want the mesh to overlap a bit so when you put the scoop back on, it will have something to hold on to... This is what keeps the meshing inplace.

When you guys actually get down on the ground and see this with your own eyes, it will be easy. Everything just kinda pops off. It just takes time is all but not hard what so ever. Make sure you have the right tools and for the love of god DON'T RUSH!!! take your time and the results will be great.

Go to HomeDepot and pisck up some aluminum gutter gaurd. Make sure its the more thick gauge and not the thin stuff. Otherwise it will not look good and it will not hold up as for as bending when the wind hits it. You need something stiff... The gutter gaurd will run you about 3 bucks and pick up a nice pair of metal cutters if you don't have them, they run about 10 bucks.

hope this helps you guys. any questions are welcome.

The best thing about this mod is that its not permanent, if you don't like it then take it off... there is no modifying your car in any way... Also its CHEAP to do.

Nice effort, but the patterns don't match now? A full matching set of woven wire mesh, which I found at racemeshgrilles.com, works for my eyes....................
